Why exactly did I wait

till the DAY BEFORE WE LEAVE to pack everything for our week long trip? I haven't even done the laundry yet! :cursing::cursing: Yup, procrastinator me! I know I'm gonna forget something, even though I made a list and am highlighting as I go.....
 
Doing laundry is enough to make me procrastinate too!! LOL. I do have to say that packing for vacation is something I've always done almost too soon before a trip!! Have fun packing!!
 
hey, look at it this way... you aren't trying to pack and throw ppl in the car at the same time, so I figure you're ahead of the game. LOL

Our family motto seems to be that it's not a vacation until you have to go to Walmart to buy something that Mom forgot to pack. LOLOLOL
 
Traci,you could've been doing laundry while you were in chat last night,lol. I'm the world's worst procrastinator. I have nothing but sympathy for your pain,lol.
 
I'm one of those people who has to have everything packed 48 hours in advance and the car loaded right after dinner the night before we leave and am then outside at 11pm dragging stuff out of the car to find something I need that I packed...

Bwahahahahaha

Well I have all the non-clothes stuff ready to go, the food packed, menu plane made, shopping list made, ehd backed up..etc etc but it's all lying in open boxes and suitcases everywhere...LOL
 
Oh! And I "accidentally" always forget a swimsuit, so I get a new one when we get wherever we're going. ;)

And don't do what my mom did every year... she'd pile us into the car in our jamas before dawn to leave for vacation...

and would forget to pack our shoes. I can't tell you how many pairs of espadrilles I had because of that.
 
I over pack if I start too early. LOL

Besides Traci - how did you expect to pack while working on 2 kits this week??
 
just budget in some extra cash for the stuff you forget;) I make a list too and have to have everything in the car the night before and ready to go...and usually {like our upcoming driving trip to Disney} I pack 1 smaller bag with 2 sets of clothes for everyone so we don't have to take out the big suitcases until we get to our main destination... I have faith in you that you won't forget anything....just a FYI, if you plan on doing laundry while you are gone {I always do so I don't have so much to do when I get home} take laundry soap in individual baggies {enough for 1 load in each baggie} and already have a roll of quarters ready...this helped me tremendously...oh and take a pair of fingernail clippers {didn't think I would need them and then somebody got a hnagnail and we really needed a pair so I had to spend $2.99 in the hotel store:cursing: }...GOOD LUCK and have a GREAT vacation!
