Why do I like to freak myself out?

I keep renting horror/suspense movies...right now we're watching The Strangers. A few weeks ago I watched Mirrors by myself (during the SSD chat, girls, you know what I went through LOL). I love them, but I hate them at the same time!

Ha, so this is random, but if you know the Christian messengers in that movie....I'm friends with both of them, haha.

That's really cool!

Okay, so it didn't turn out to be as "torture a person" type of flick like I thought...more suspenseful than anything. It helps that I sort of saw stuff coming since I saw pics on IMDb though. :D

I have Saw 5 on my laptop right now...I might watch it during Friday's chat, just so I won't be lonely LOL

The last scary movie I 'watched' was at a bday sleepover in seventh grade. And by 'watched,' I mean that I turned backwards in the armchair I was sitting in and listened to abt half of it before I fell asleep.

:p

I *refuse* to pay for and/or watch scary movies. FI does not even try. If I want to be scared, I'll go down to the corner of 10th and Tibbs and start talking to the locals, and that's free!

Ack! I won't watch scary movies alone, but DH and I have really been watching a lot of 'em lately. We watched The Strangers the week of Halloween and I was sooooo freaked out after that. Especially since the night after we watched it, we were getting ready for bed and I was in the bathroom and heard voices outside the window. I looked out and there were about a dozen teenagers just lounging and standing around our yard. WTH? I didn't sleep well at all - kept getting up to check the locks...lol. They were just the neighbors' punk kids, but I was still scared.

Have any of you seen Funny Games? Or Vacancy? I thought Vacancy was a little far-fetched, but Funny Games is one that will stick with me for a very long time.

I love and hate scary movies.

I've had Funny Games on the laptop for a few months now and haven't gotten the courage to watch it. LOL Nope, haven't seen Vacancy...another one to get!

I didn't think The Strangers was very scary to watch but... here's the but.. I started thinking about it after it was over and I had to go outside and it was dark now that freaked me out. lol

We love horror flicks around here. :) I can't wait to see My Bloody Valentine in 3d and The Unborn.. woohoo!!

You may think it's stupid, but yesterday I was watching a documentary on Discovery Channel about Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka and that freaked me out. I have always liked this kind of documentary regarding serial killers and stuff (I looooooooooove forensic psychiatry) and this one really chilled me !

I torture myself with scarey movies too and don't know why! It's a total love/hate relationship! LOL! I don't think I can watch them ALONE though!!

Yeah, The Strangers wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was the not knowing what they were going to do to them that was scary, and also the fact that it was based on real events.

The Unborn looks freaky...with those upside down people with right side up heads...freaky!
