Today WILL be a good day if it kills me!

I know a bunch of us had a rough week, so let's band together and make today a good day!

I'm starting off today with a nice big Mimosa. If that's not enough, I'm buying some rose colored glasses to try and trick myself with ;)
 
Hey Amanda, what does your hubby do? You commented on my FB status the other day that I sound like him and we'd get along, lol. I'm just curious. I'm a bridge engineer for a consulting company and we do a LOT of work for state DOT's (MD, PA, and DE).
 
I'm on my way to work. I'm considering testing fate and eating an Egg McMuffin. Hopefully it doesn't make me sick (last week I got sick at work, on my first shift back...after I'd been there for 3 whole hours...lol...oops).
 
No fun for me, unfortunately :(

Massive spring cleaning day - the inlaws pending arrival, doncha know. But as of tomorrow - I'm on a mini-staycation!! MIL LOVES to cook and do all my laundry and stock my pantry, so I get to relax!

Psst - can I find out where to get those rose-colored glasses? Maybe she'll miss the places I didn't dust LOL
 
I totally feel your pain on that Darcy. I cleaned my butt off last friday cuz everyone was coming for Easter, lol. I do need to dust though.

I compromised with Jordan (who decided the whole house needs to be landscaped THIS WEEKEND, withou consulting with me). I'm going to eat breakfast, go out and run my errands, and then come back and help him outside. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I can spend all day tomorrow working on projects.

I'll be painting cheapo glasses myself if I can't find rose colored ones :P

Breeeeee! Don't get sick! LOL!
 
It's been a bad week for me, too.
My teenage (14yo) DD got in some deep trouble for sneaking around and just doing some things that are unacceptable. So...today we are off to shop.
In other words, she will be dressing, looking and acting like I want her to from now on.
Retail therapy for me - punishment for her. So yeah, it'll be a good day. LOL!!!
 
I'm trying. I won't complain about the fact that it's raining on my garage sale. LOL! :D But it's fun watching the boys play in the puddles. I need to get out the camera!
 
I'm signed up for a good day. I cleaned yesterday so the house and dishes are good. I'm planning to scrap today and go out with dh tonight - we have a sitter and everything! woo hoo!
 
I volunteered to take someone's hours tonight at work...what was I thinking!!!

I did manage to get up and go to Weight Watchers this morning though so the morning started off good...even though I ate so much candy this week and gained a lb...I am still under my goal weight though!!

I have had 4 cups of coffee to get me moving and I am getting ready to head outside with the little ones..these hooligans need to go run around for a while and release some energy!!
 
I am determined to have a good day. I have started a project that I have wanted to do for years--I am cleaning my husbands work area in the garage!! And putting in cabinets!!

My week has to pick up. It ended on a very good note. My SS that has had cancer was having headaches all week. The great news is that it was only a sinus infection!!!! not a brain tumor!!!!!!!!!!

Off to play with power tools!

He is a project manager for a general contractor here in Houston. They do commercial and industrial work. He also has to deal with idiotic subs.
 
I'm having one of those rainy stay in wearing pjs kinda day. My hubby and I are off together and we just don't feel like moving my kinda day LOL
