Who's Excited for the Change in Seasons?

The weather is finally cooling down here in Idaho. I'm ready to get out my sweatshirts and booties. Anybody else looking forward to the change - whether fall or spring?

I prefer the cooler weather but not so much all the rain and wind we're currently getting in the UK although I don't really go out often so it doesn't affect me too much.

But ... my daughter is getting married in a couple of weeks and we're really hoping for a bright and dry day even if it is cold.

Also ... my cat hates the rain but hates being inside as well. We don't have a cat flap so I'm constantly up and down letting her out only for her to decide within minutes she wants to be in again.

I looooooove summer, so I'm sad to see it go. But I know it's not for everyone, especially down here in the south.

Fall is probably my second favorite season though. The weather isn't TOO chilly (for most people, not for me, anything under 70 is torture hahaha), there's tons of fun activities to do, I do love the leaves changing, and there's no allergies like the spring!

But all of that just makes me realize that winter is around the corner, which is my hardest season so yea. If it could be like 82 degrees all year round and not too much rain, I'd be a happier camper.

Agreed (chiming in from eastern Washington!) Although this next week is still supposed to be nice & upper 70's (okay for me since our house exterior is getting painted!) I'm a 75 max kinda gal- so Fall is my favorite!!

I have mixed emotions about the change! Here in northern IL it has been terribly hot - in the high 80's and low 90's - about 20 degrees warmer than the norm. However ... next week it will be in the low 60's - and I'm not crazy about that either - lol. Give me 70 all year round and I'd be golden!

Meeeee!!! I'm SO not a summer person. I couldn't wait to get home from Florida! Oh.my.goodness! It was SOOOOOOO hot & humid, and my daughter said that was "cooler". I don't think I could do it.

I live for cooler weather. It's been so nice and cool and rainy lately.

I understand about the pet thing. We didn't have a dog door either when we had our dog. It was a big pain in not great weather! Hoping for a lovely day for your daughter's wedding!

I can relate to your feelings about winter. It can be hard. It didn't used to affect me so much, but now I just need SUN even if it cold. We get inversions here sometimes in the winter and it will be gray and cold for 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for sharing =)

70s is definitely the weather sweet spot =)

Oh my gosh, Tammy. I could never live in Florida. The humidity would kill me. I'm with you - I like the coolness, but I still need occasional sun, so fall here is pretty perfect for me. So glad to see you back in the forums and gallery. Hope we can do a crafting get together soon.

I am definitely looking forward to cooler weather and layering up with cozy sweaters and boots! I feel like I am always hot in the summer and although I love being outside, I just can't take the humidity anymore, so I can't wait to start gardening in cool weather!

Spring is my fave, but I'm ready for the cooler weather of Fall. I am not really a summer girlie, but my husband is and he's been dreading the cooler weather and change of season for weeks now, and we're in perfect weather North Carolina.

I'm over the heat.
It actually wasn't as bad as other summers have been.
But, Central California gets HOT.
I hate it.

Fall is my favorite season and I enjoy every moment being back in the Northeast. I love the cooler weather, the changing leaves, and all the tasty apple and pumpkin goodies!

After my brief visit to Florida, I've decided that I couldn't live there either!
Thanks, Stephanie! It's so good to be back. It has been a long, torturous 6 months!! I'm hoping we can get together soon, too. I'm getting settled back in and possibly early next month?

I can't do humidity either. We were in Chicago last weekend and the humidity was killing me - I live in high desert and even a little humidity feels overwhelming to me.

My husband is the opposite - he loves the rain and cooler weather.

Our summer was cooler than normal as well, but it has lasted well into September - it was getting into the 80s until just a week ago. I've spent time in the summer in Bakersfield so I understand the HOT! Cooler weather will definitely feel good!

I do love the fall flavors too. I've already made pumpkin chocolate muffins =)

I'm a Texas girl, so the end of summer always comes with a major sigh of relief!

Autumn is by far my favorite season. Unfortunately, temps here will still be in the 80s, so I have a tendency to crank the AC down to 68, light an apple cinnamon scented candle, and hang out in the house in my boots and sweaters.

It might not be cool outside, but I'm all about creating the fall vibes for myself!

I could do the first weekend in November. That second weekend is booked - I'll have to tell you about it later!

Good for you on creating fall vibes to enjoy the season! I follow influencers from Texas and they're always talking about how hard it is to feel fall like when you're wearing shorts and tank tops.

I can't wait for fall - it's my favorite... but we are suppose to be 44F in lows and highs in the upper 60's/70's... and today it's suppose to be almost 90!!! Geez, enough with summer... bring on fall!
