who uses PSE11?

After my computer crash in the end of Nov/early Dec hubby upgraded me to Elements 11... and it has some weird quirks... and I was wondering if its just me and I need to reinstall... or it's just buggy...

Some of the odd things I have come across is printing... I want to print the active window, click file print and it shows me every file open but the one I want to print. To change fonts - if I click on the dropdown arrow on the box to get to the list, the list flashes up and I have to click on the dropdown arrow again. And if I want to change the font color... sometimes the color selector window will not "close" once I'm done selecting.

These don't happen all the time... but it's happens enough to drive me a bit nutty! ;)
 
I just loaded PSE11 yesterday. I worked with it some last night. The strangest thing for me is that I couldn't switch to other programs by clicking on them at the bottom on the screen in the windows toolbar like I normally do. I had a computer sticky note open that I wanted to click on to see which pictures I needed to bring into the program. I had to minimize PSE in order to access the sticky note. I couldn't just click on it like I normally would. Same deal with ACDSee I would try to click on the icon in the toolbar at the bottom of my screen to bring it up, but would have to minimize PSE in order to access it. So weird.

I'll have to play with those other things in a bit and see if they are doing them for me. I'm about to head out the door for an appointment.
 
yikes, that is in PSE10, too? Geez, you would think those would have been fixed in a new release... at least it's not just me... :D
 
I do! I"ve been happy with it. I love the new color scheme, which is the main reason I purchased it. So much easier on the eyes.

I have not seen the behavior with the font/text tools you describe.

I have seen the 'print file' behavoir. I've noticed it a couple times. It seemed to be happier when I went to the "Photo Bin" clicked on the image I wanted to print and then did print. That seemed to help it choose the right file. I've only done that once though, so I can't say I've exhaustively tested that as a solution!

Hope you get your issue fixed! I am using mine on a PC running Windows 7.
 
I am really happy with PSE11. Being able to add styles via the preset manager is really wonderful and it was really about time! LOL! I haven't noticed the printing issues, but my printer is a bit grouchy to begin with anyway. It's an HP Photosmart 7510 wireless Eprint and we love it, but it is quirky.
 
I'm running Windows 7. I thought it might be a setting in the properties somewhere, but so far I haven't figured it out yet. It's quite annoying!
