Who Is With Me?

I'm cleaning today...as much as I don't want to, and as much as I hate it...I've gotta clean up this house!

We're renovating right now, and the first room we're doing is the laundry room...so it's almost done and we'll have to move the washer/dryer from their spot in the kitchen (that's where they originally were and I *hate* it, because there's a huge mess in my kitchen from all the clothes, argh). So DH needs me to clear up the pantry area (not enough shelves, lol, so everything is piled in front of them - where the laundry is will be our new pantry) so he can move the washer dryer once he gets the plumbing moved and the floors in.

So, I'm off to the kitchen for a bit...probably will do laundry since there's a whole bunch stacked there that will have to move anyway...lol...

Well, I havent done laundry in over a week so DH is giving me til he gets home to have it all done.

Pray for me.

:D

Unfortunately I am since I didn't do it this weekend. However, I'd rather be at home cleaning than where I'm supposed to be - work... LOL!

my house is mostly clean.. I went a lil nutso friday night/saturday morning and surprisingly it's been maintained (I think connor must be on mess strike :D :D ) I do have an awful lot of laundry to catch up on though..bleck.

DH did a bunch of mine yesterday, but I had to do bathrooms and laundry today. The laundry is taking it's sweet time drying today. Stupid washer isn't spinning out properly. Otherwise, I just finished up a bit of work, my inbox is clean, DH is making dinner tonight, so I can waste the afternoon! LOL

I'm with you! Billy cooked yesterday which means the kitchen floor is a mess! I will be sweeping, mopping, cleaning counters and washing clothes. I think I will wait to fold tonight so I can watch tv at the same time.

But I for some reason I am still sitting here.

I'm with you Bree! I just now finished a marathon playroom clean-up which is no easy task because we have a HUGE playroom and my kids have WAAAAAY too many toys. I went through *every* toy and tossed what was broken, made a pile of what we'll donate, and then organized everything else. I have to vacuum the carpet still (it actually needs to be shampoo'd but I'm not up for that today). Here is a quick photo of it (from the loft/office) before my kids destroy it again. lol

Wow! I love that you have a loft! Awesome! anyway, you should see the massive piles of laundry that I have. Its embarrassing. I'm really bad about procrastinating with the laundry. I'm trying to get i done today. I'm about to go oustide cause Aidan wants to go play, and its nice out. Then I'll come back in and work on it some more!

Looks awesome, Jenny! Back in December I went through all the kids toys and filled up one HUGE rubbermaid bin with broken/missing pieces toys...but DH and I never got around to getting rid of it. My children decided it would be fun to dump out that bin along with all the other sorted bins of toys (I literally spent 2 days organizing...and they wrecked it all in about 5 minutes). It hasn't gotten done again, I just left it in a big pile in the middle of the floor where they put it, lol...but I really should do it again. Ugh!

I'm with you girls on the laundry thing. Laundry is the BANE of my EXISTENCE!! I hate doing laundry. Washing it, folding it, and putting it away. I do laundry as little as possible and only when DH says something like, 'honey, I only have two pairs of clean underwear left" or something like that. lol
We live out of the clean laundry baskets because DH is a day sleeper so I can never go in our bedroom to put away clean laundry. I can't tell you how many months its been since I stepped foot into my own closet! lol
So, while I *should* be doing some laundry, I am chosing to talk about it here at SSD instead. Do you think that counts? :p

ooh, nice playroom! my entire house is a playroom

Okay, Bree, I'm with you in spirit and good intentions. I do really need to give the ol' kitchen floor a really good cleaning . . .

Sadly, no...I don't think it does count, Jenny.

I'm a weird one...I don't mind doing laundry...it's pretty easy. And I don't mind doing dishes if they haven't been sitting there forever and have things growing in them...well, loading the dishwasher and unloading it. I even don't mind vaccuming, though we've only got 2 rooms that need to be done in the house, everything else is laminate.

However, I *hate* sweeping and mopping/swiffering. I don't dust - ever. Bathrooms, ugh...that's DH's job, lol.

But you know...I just never do any of it...cause it's not my favorite thing to do. Just if I had to choose favorites, I'd end up picking dishes and laundry over everything else that needs to be done, lol!

Quick! Tape that picture to the wall so the kids know what it's SUPPOSED to look like before they go to bed ;)

The only think I detest is laundry. Of course, bathrooms aren't my most favorite (I have boys, so use your imagination lol) but I don't mind doing them as much as laundry. It also doesn't help that my laundry area is in our basement down two flights of stairs from the bedrooms so I am booking it all over the house everytime I do laundry.
As far as vacuuming, dusting, etc goes. I actually like it! And anything in the kitchen is fine with me. I LOVE having a clean kitchen. But I do feel like half my life is spend loading and unloading the dishwasher.
So, I say you do my laundry and I'll dust your house and clean your bathrooms (you supply the rubber gloves lol).
Deal?

Hahahaha! Right? The truth is that they're *pretty* good about keepnig it picked up after I clean it up. But after a while it just piles up and then its too overwhelming for them to deal with. And I don't mind cleaning it up too much. I just have to do it when my oldest is at school or he'll freak out when I toss broken toys. lol

I hate laundry. I always forget about it, and 2 days later I'll be like OH! Laundry! And have to rewash it since it's been sitting in the washer for 2 days.

I also like to put a pot of water on to boil, and then forget about it. Both things drive Jordan insane. Poor guy.

I don't mind dusting at all, and I can deal wtih bathrooms. But laundry and vacuuming are not my friends. I don't mind cleaning the kitchen either, except Jordan messes it up right afterwards.

My house is a little better now but when I woke up this morning I thought I was gonna cry. Wes made breakfast and we took the kids to the park then after a nap we went to my moms all night so no one was here to do anything. I was hoping that my dear old hubby was gonna surprise me but ummm NO LOL

Jenny I love your play room, its adorable!

i have figured out what I need.

some sort of laser thing that will zap things into oblivion. ahh, I would reallly love that . . . stupid clutter be gone zap zap zap

I did most of the laundry yesterday, I still have a couple loads to do today. And a whole lot of sweeping & mopping. Stupid wood floors.

I swept a little (Kaylee ate half a cookie then decided to crumble the rest onto the floor) and emptied the dishwasher then refilled with the other dishes that were dirtied while the ones in the dishwasher were getting cleaned and dried, and now I'm doing laundry, although I'm sure I won't fold or put away today. Laundry is a full week process for me. LOL

Nothing but laundry and the regular daily kitchen cleaning here...It's a holiday here so DH is off work....out of the past 4 weeks he's been home 3.5 of them...I'm anxiously anticipating the 6am alarm and 7am departure of said DH. ;)

I have my feet up on a hotel bed having just gotten dried off & dressed from a morning spent at the indoor waterpark. We'll be headed back there in about an hour or so after a nap. :)

Don't hate me too much. I'll have about 3 loads of laundry to do when we get home tomorrow.

count me in on this! I have laundry, a toilet screaming my name and a kitchen floor that is in desperate need to mop!!! And we are having people over for dinner so I really need to do these things and cook dinner!!! Ugh, Mondays suck!

We just put some wood floors in our living room a few months ago (the carpet was ruined from kids spilling stuff and the dog thinking it was his potty when he was a puppy. ewww.)and i am LOVING the wood. i do have to sweep it and mop it everyday, well, atleast sweep, sometimes twice. but its so much nicer looking. I wanna put wood in our new bedroom when we start on it. I'd pick wood over carpet anyday. But now, my poor Dyson vacuum only gets used when i sweep the kids' rooms. which, sadly isn't very often. once every couple weeks. I usually just ignore there rooms and shut the doors lol!

I've already cleaned the bathrooms - did that last night - but the kitchen is a disaster I have to conquor this afternoon...exceot the kids dont nap at the same time anymore GRRRR which makes it practically impossible to clean! Have to get this house in order by wednesday though since we're leaving for a trip to north carolina friday!

I am definitely in. My hubby and kiddos *cleaned* yesterday, which means I have to clean today! LOL!! And the laundry has been long avoided. Time to get cracking on it!

Well I clean on Fridays (used to be Saturday when I had a job) so today I did yard work and bleached the deck so that counts right?

my mother's day gift was Patrick SCRUBBING the house! Yay me!! But we're also still organzing and taking things to storage so I have some clutter I need to take care of today..not bad though!

Col, I'm totally with you on this, but I read a trick in a magazine and it WORKS! Just put 1/4 cup of white vinegar into the wash and then run the rinse cycle. It will still smell a bit vinegary when you put it in the dryer, but after they're dried, they smell nice and fresh! And no wasting water on a full load and no extra soap!

I hate laundry. I always forget about it, and 2 days later I'll be like OH! Laundry! And have to rewash it since it's been sitting in the washer for 2 days.

Well, so far this morning I have managed to sweep & mop the hardwood floors, vacuum the carpet areas, load and start the dishwasher and scrub the kitchen sink, start ANOTHER load of laundry - only 4 more to go, scrub the boys' bathroom and put the clothes away that were out from the laundry I did on Saturday. I still need to wash my sheets and remake my bed, clean my bathroom and pick up the boys' rooms. I HATE all forms of cleaning but I LOVE a clean, nice smelling house!!!

So far I've done one load of laundry (washed, dried) and started a second, loaded and ran the dishwasher (which I'm on my way to unload and reload), cleaned up the various groceries on the floor in front of our pantry area, and took out the garbage

Still on my list of things to do today...fold the laundry that I've washed, do a couple more loads...move one of the dressers into my office (which will eventually be a bedroom) and fill it with the kids clothes that are scattered throughout the house (doing this because if I load it in their room, which is currently being renovated, it'll be covered in drywall dust, which SUCKS...so this is to save me from rewashing), do a couple more loads of dishes and hopefully sweep and swiffer the kitchen floor.

That sounds like a LOT of work. LOL! :p I think I need a maid.
