Who from SSD have you met IRL?

I've met Mary A (SugarBabe) twice! Once we met in Phoenix to go see My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and once our families were vacationing at Disneyland at the same time so we rode Grizzly River Run together!

And I guess theme parks is the place to meet up because I met Tammy E (SugarBabe) at Disneyland, Desi (former SugarBabe and community member who I see is back from her scrapping hiatus and posting her awesomely geometric layouts again! Yay!) at Hershey Park.

And lastly, these ladies have become my Disney family! Most of them hang out elsewhere in digiland but a few of them are here at SSD too!

This is awesome! I love seeing people meet outside their computer. I'm in Trina's picture above - I met a slew of scrappers there. I've also met Jan - QuiltyMom in digiland. I get so quiet and nervous, that I don't really get out of my shell. I take it all in, then stress about how things went after, haha!
 
This is so fun!!

We should have a Sweet Shoppe summer camp where we all meet up for the week and stay in cabins by a lake and scrapbook and read all day and eat decadent food made by someone other than us and roast marshmallows by the campfire at night and do it all again the next day!!
 
I was supposed to meet Cheryl in 2016 and was so sad that my plans got overruled.

We were driving up her way to go see my in-laws and my MIL insisted we HAD TO go see Grandma ASAP instead of continuing west so I could hug Cheryl. Grandma was like "it's nice to see y'all but I was going to see you at dinner anyway" 💀

I don't know how to sneak up to the Panhandle to see Cheryl and Olivia without the in-laws ruining my trip or I'd be on the way. I sent them boozy jam inspired by a Studio Liv kit though 😂

Yes!!! See I knew there were others I was forgetting lol. I have a lot of pics of Jen (jemenifer) that week for some reason lol

I have oodles of everyone! LOADS! I'll have to pull a few out! I think Jen planned a lot of the activities and was involved all over the place! I'll have to find another big group shot and post it! I was on Cheryl's team - purple (the dreaded design color, haha!) but a fantastic team color!
 
I have met no one. Nobody in my sphere of influence, even talks about digital scrapbooking. I was the first person in my area that also did my own nails too.
 
I want to meet someone from SSD! I actually have met a few scrappers in my past, but they have all quit scrapping (that giving up on your mojo thing) and are/were not at SSD.
 
I met Brook Magee once in Nashville--we were both there on vacation. I saw her at a museum and recognized her, and I was like, "hi, this is awkward, but are you Brook Magee? I know you from Sweet Shoppe!"
This was before I was a Babe, so she didn't really know who I was, but she was super sweet! I want to meet everyone!
 
@allyanne I wonder if we were close. I noticed you posted a layout of the ice festival. I'm not sure if you went this year, but I was there Feb. 21. That would be funny if we were there at the same time and didn't know it.
 
Yes I have, several times over the years! It is seriously the best and I highly recommend it. ;) Going to Disney with scrapping friends is so much fun - Cassie and I have done it twice now. @KingsQueen82


I've met a few close friends from other scrapping spaces over the years in their neck of the USA when we were there for a vacation stop. In a conversation on the first Disney trip one night, TracieR and I realized we had actually met in person briefly way back in 2009 at a CHA convention we both attended. We didn't really know each other back then, but I had to go check my photos and yes there we were in the same space LOL

I have met tons & tons of digital scrappers IRL: flying across the country to spend two weeks at their house, planning multiple meet & greets, traveling all over DC and MD with a few, and attending a digital convention to name a few. The early '00s were a digi-bonanza.

Sadly, though I'm still friends with many of them, not a one of them still scraps.

It's on my life bucket list to meet @KristinCB who I've been friends with for more than 20 years but never met. I feel like we may have talked via Skype once?

I wasn’t there for that event, but I’m at the square on a regular basis. Let me know when you are coming in to town next time!

I’ve meet Cynthia (mrspeel) too, but she’s not been able to scrap lately due to carpal tunnel.
 
I've met @purple_colourz Jacq, both in Singapore when I went there and here in Beijing when she & her family came for holiday here a few years ago. I have the photos on my EHD somewhere, I'll post it when I find them :)

Ohh I totally forgot!!! I met Cynthia too, I spend a weekend at her house doing loads of fun stuff
and eating yummie foods 😁 Shame on me for forgetting that!!
 
@craftytam and I live in the same city. I reached out to her thru an SSD DM when I realized it. In the past, she has hosted Saturday craft days and she invited me to one of those. She usually takes a picture of our group when we gather, so she'll have to post pics. She is a lovely person!
