White border around pictures

Can someone tell me if there is a way to put a white border around your picture in PSE6? If so could you please tell me how to do it. I love the look of the white border but don't want to always have to go grab a photo frame to get the look! Thank you so much!

In PSE 5 it is in the same place as your drop shadow settings. It is called - well crud I had the word when I hit reply!! :cursing: It starts with an S lol, you can adjust the color and the width. after I apply the drop shadow style (or use an action) I click on the little gray button on the layer and that opens the style box.

edited because I remembered the word - its called the Stroke

Its called "stroke" and this is how you do it...

ctrl-click the photo you want to have a white border. Then go to -edit- and then -stroke- and choose your color, placement (I do inside), and width (I do between 15-35 depending).

And voila! There ya go!! instant white border!!

ETA: stroke is also a good tool for bordering an alpha or some other element to make it look like a "sticker".

Or you can do it the superlazy LeeAndra way... *lol*

Just create a new layer, drag out a rectangle marquee, fill it with white, and then put it behind your photo. Adjust it so it's even all around. Tada!

I use the shape tool to do mine - very similar to what you do, but I don't have to do the fill.

If you use Stroke, make sure to check Inside - that will give you sharp square corners. Choosing Center or Outside gives slightly rounded corners that just don't look right!
