I just found a free photo editing app that I'm seriously in love with. Have you tried Snapseed? I just downloaded it today and have only played with it a bit, but I've already found it can rescue shots that my Galaxy S4's built in editor and Pixlr Express can't.

I don't especially like this photo and I'd keep editing if I actually wanted to use it for anything, but here's the before and after from using the Shadows slider then adding a bit of warmth:

That is a nice save! I have the app but rarely use it. I have seen some amazing photos with it though.
 
I have it... but I seem to have a collection of apps for photos and editing... then I end up editing on my computer, lol! Go figure! I must try it out again!

This is me. I have 2 folders full on my iPhone of photo editing apps (including Snapseed, not to be confused with Snapchat), yet still DL and edit in LR or PS. Need to remember these.
 
Get Aviary! SUCH a fun app with oodles of filters to play with and more you can buy for a dollar or two. It is spectacular!
 
Yari, that's where I first discovered it, not I-Phone but my son's I-Pod. I used it alot in El Salvador last December b/c our cameras were messed up...
