Which software?

Hi firstly I must apologise if this thread has already been started somewhere. But I was just wondering what software you all choose to scrap using? Just being nosy.:p
 
I used PSE from 6 to 10 for years then upgraded to CS6 last year. With the new Black Friday deal for the Creative Cloud, I upgraded to it last night.
 
PSE11... :) I do have cloud - hubby uses it for audio work - but I haven't taken the time to make the jump over to CS... :)
 
I used Pixelmator for years and years but with my Mac on its last legs, and Pixelmator being a Mac-only program, I made the switch to Photoshop CC last month. I was using the trial and debating whether to do the whole CC or just PS, when I found out they opened the photog deal to everyone. So now I'm officially doing PS and LR CC! There are some things I miss about Pixelmator, and it's sooooooooooooooo much more affordable ($15!) but I'm getting really into all the extra stuff PS can do.
 
The majority of scrappers use either Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or Paint Shop Pro. There are, of course, other programs people use too, but they are not as predominant. Most of the tutorials you'll see for scrapping are done with PS or PSE.

I've been using PSP for 8 years. I tried switching a couple of times but my brain will only work in PSP. I currently use PSPX2..haven't upgraded bc it does all I need it to. I do all my photo processing in lightroom.
 
The short answer is I use PS CC for scrapbooking. :)

The long answer is I use that plus Lightroom 5 for photo organization and editing, ACDSee 15 for supply organization and Font Xplorer for font management.
 
I personally use CS5 but used PSE for the first several years of scrapping. It was easy to use and most tutorials are written with PS software in mind. So it made it easier for me to use new tricks too. Upgraded last year but it was because I was doing more than just scrapbooking with my software and needed the extras. PSE is affordable and easy......I would highly recommend that for anyone wanting to scrap and do photo edits.

Wise words. PSE is perfect for scrapping. PS is much better for cool tricks. I kinda do lots of digital art and also designing, so PS is an obvious choice. But for scrapping and sich PSE is enough.
 
Tara explained it perfectly for me. i used PSE 7 for many years before finally upgrading to CS5 because i needed more than what PSE could do for me. PSE is perfect for scrapbooking.
 
I use Creative Memories/Panstoria. I've used PSE and PS and I prefer SBC/Artisan. I can bring in templates to use, edit photos, etc. Most of what can be done in PSE can be done in Artisan. It's not much for editing like PSE, but I use that for some things too. Just not day to day scrapping.
 
PSE 8 & PS2. Yeah, ancient programs. I still use PSE for the majority of my layouts, but there are things I can only do in PS.
