Which model Vitamix?

I asked my DH for a Vitamix for Mothers day! :hugs: Then he asked me which model I wanted. I was clueless. Do I need the presets in the more expensive models or do I want just a basic model?

Where did you get yours? I've been looking for a mail order source, but DH is also driving into the big city next week and could stop by one of the big-box stores....

I don't have Vitamix (have BlendTec), but if he buys it from Costco or Sam's club, he'll get longer warranty.
 
I've got the Vitamix 7500. We ordered ours through QVC.

It's my understanding that they are only at Sam's or Costco when they're doing an actual demonstration. They don't sell them there regularly. We originally bought the 5200 model during a demonstration at Sam's, but we ended up returning it. It happened to be the Today's Special Value on QVC the very next day, so we just ordered it through there (newer model, cheaper price, and we made 5 payments on it).

I don't think you'll regret whatever you end up going with. I LOVE my Vitamix, and their customer service is the BEST!
 
Libby, our Costco JUST started offering it as regular product. So, it's still a new thing. Not sure, if they've done this everywhere though.
