Where can I find...

cute tops? I've shopped at plus size stores since I was in HS and now that I don't have to anymore, I have NO CLUE where the "good stuff" is. I'm a pretty casual type of gal, capri pants, jeans, shorts and just plain ol' cotton tops most of the time. All the shirts I have now are from my college years...you know what I mean, bands, slogans, stuff like that, not what I want to wear now. Can you point me in the direction of some cute stuff, please?
 
I get most of my tops at Old Navy or Aeropostale, they are cute, comfy and reasonably priced!
 
I have to agree...Old Navy has some really cute things, and they are so reasonably priced. When I was smaller I would shop there all the time. Now that I'm a bit more "plus" sized...they don't fit quite as well. They have the XXL, but they don't fit properly. I'm a small fat person...and they think that bigger people get taller too for some reason! LOL!!

Target is another fabulous place to get some really cute things at a great price!!
 
Yea, I looooove Old Navy and Target lately. Kohl's can have some really cute things too. I like The Limited for nicer stuff too.

*snort* opposite problem here they think if you are fat you must be a midget lol I can't count the number of tops or jeans I have had to put back because they are just too short in length i'm 5ft 6in so not exactly tall either I just longer tops and need a 33in inside leg minimum.
 
I love Warehouse One: The Jean Store (do you have those in the US?), American Eagle, Old Navy...Reitman's has cute stuff too. :)
 
If I were made of money I would definitely buy tons of clothes from American Eagle! I do buy their jeans which are like 60 dollars but in my defense they last me forever :) I have a weakness for their jeans... when we have money lol!
 
This is totally my problem. I picked out a ton of stuff...and just can't part with the money. I'm horrible about spending money on myself...unless it's digiscrap stuff! LOL
 
My favorite places to shop are Old Navy, Target and JCPenneys. Mostly cause they are cheap, but still cute. If I had the money I have always though NY & Company had really cute clothes.
 
I buy the majority of my tops @ target.......... I do however, dress like a 12 yr old.. so I dunno if my opinion is really helpful :p lol

I can totally understand this, although I don't have any trouble spending money on myself anymore.

Remember...this is the new you...and you deserve this! Spend it, but be sure it is something you really love, are completely comfortable in, and will wear a lot. There is nothing worse than spending a ton of money on something and see it sitting in your closet! I make impulse decisions, and that is NOT good!

Also, since your body is "new", do you know what styles look best on you? I would really research that too if you don't because you don't want to drop money on the wrong types of clothes!
 
Of course your opinion counts La! I really like a lot of stuff at Target...the one here just sucks.

Debra...thank you for pointing all that out! VERY good things to consider. I really do need to find out what works for me. Things are definitely in different places now than they were 15 years ago! LOL
 
I always tend to shop ON when they have a great sale or when I can find coupons, I have a hard time spending $$ on myself too. Also check http://www.oldnavyweekly.com/ for coupons, they always have "hidden" coupons you can search for and print out. I've heard they sometimes have $75 off a $100 purchase coupons but I haven't seen one yet, I would LOVE to find one of those!
