When it rains...

it freaking comes a monsoon!!!

So you know, I threw out my back yesterday..and come home today to find water leaking from the ceiling in my kitchen. :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:

Soo...my hero Daddy comes over and investigates and it turns out that THIS TIME it's the UPSTAIRS central AC that is leaking. This will be the THIRD time in as many months that I've had to have the service company out to work on our central heat/air. Thankfully it's the upstairs unit and so he just turned off the power to it. The only rooms upstairs are Avery's and the one that will eventually be Ella's and a bathroom. Avery sleeps in a toddler bed in my room and ella in a port-a-crib so we're at least cool downstairs.. (it was 89 degrees here today and it gets HOT upstairs really bad) but UGH!!! :cursing::cursing: Three weeks! This couldn't wait 3 freaking weeks for DH to be home. Have I mentioned that I HATE DEPLOYMENTS!!!!!

Sorry about all this Nikki-
I think my husband would feel like you do if I were to ever leave since I do all of this kinda stuff at my house.
I hope that the three weeks flies by so that your husband can come home and take care of things for you! :)

This probably means you are due for some really smooth sailing when your DH gets home! My DH is not deployed but everything always goes wrong when he's away. Last night, my son threw up THIRTEEN times (he thoughtfully counted them all up for me) -- all night long -- and I had to clean it all up because my DH is on a business trip.

Man, that sucks, Nikki. I hope that's all. I'd be waiting for that proverbial third shoe to drop, lol.

That sucks, Nikki! We had it happen here before, too, when the housle was just a couple of years old. I remember the guys told us to pour like a tsp of bleach down some tube to keep the freon from freezing up in the pipes.

The plus side for us is that we had to get a dehumidifier to dry stuff out...the air never felt so cool! Good thing, because 5 of our 6 bedrooms and our main family room are all upstairs. Of course, we can still see the paint job on the ceiling downstairs where it leaked through. Not a big enough deal for me to want to repain the whole downstairs ceiling though. LOL

Umm..yeah it's always something. I think I've posted this before but the last time DH was deployed, I had $1800 stolen from my bank acct through a paypal hacker, a limb fell through our roof and punched a huge hole, my AC and water heater both died in the same week and then I fell in my kitchen and broke my foot, which was doubly hard b/c DS was crawling at the time. So yeah, I'm not surprised at the events of this week at all. :(
