I grew up in AZ where I would wear my "coat" and a scarf all December just for principle's sake.
Now that I'm in New England, I've already accustomed to the cooler weathers, and it helps to have a furnace in my belly. Our house gets down to 62/63 at night, and it warns up naturally during the day to 67/68. We will probably have to keep it warmer when the baby is born in January.
I actually put on boots and gloves earlier than most. I don't have a lot of shoes because comfort is more important to me than style, so my non-sandals are either my running shoes or my boots. They are cute and comfortable though, so I don't mind most if the time. I wear gloves any time I can feel the cold biting...usually 40 and below. For one thing my hands get really dry, and for another, one time I forgot gloves and my hands were so cold by the time I got to the store (it was a short drive and the heat wasn't working), and I slammed my thumb in the car door and didn't know until I couldn't walk away. As my hands thawed the pain was worse than childbirth, so I'm afraid of cold hands.
