What's your scariest movie?

I don't do scary movies, I am way too much of a wimp to watch them very often! My DH loves them though so I have been dragged kicking & screaming to see a few that scared the crap out of me - Phantoms, Jeepers Creepers, 30 Days of Night, The Ring to name a few. I can't watch the Saw or Grudge movies, those freak me out!

In terms of intentionally scary movies, The Ring did it for me. In terms of unintentionally scary, The Last King of Scotland left me with nightmares for a long time. I think that movie was more scary because those things really happened and it truly shows how sick and twisted some people can be.

The Hitcher (I was like 13 or something).
Never have picked up a hitchhiker....
Watch all horror films through the crack between my fingers! (k, I know I am not the only one who does this when the creepy music starts!!) :D

Ohhh you know what ticks me off more then anything when we are watching a scary movie?? Either my husband or my daughter will grab me right at a pivotal moment. You know that movie "The Forgotten" where the car is driving down the road and all of a sudden a car comes out of nowhere and plows into it? I had a bucket of popcorn and the theater we saw it in was PACKED and I threw my popcorn in the air and it landed all over about three aisles of people. That is what happens when I get scared at movies LOL

My scary movies are older because I just can't watch them anymore. I swear something changed in me when I had kids because I can't stomach them. I guess I need the world to be a better/safer place now!

I really like Scary Movies, but cant do them if Im gonna be alone that night..
Mine are The Blair Witch Project, and not cause they are scary, but more so, yucky and mess with your mind, The Saws, and The Hostels..
I was pregnant when one of the saws came out, and I had to leave the theater, cause i was gonna throw up, it grossed me out, sooo graphic.

I don't do scary movies, especially those that are based on true stories. That being said, my hubby is a huge horror fan and I subject myself to the torture of watching them (mostly I have a pillow or blanket in front of my face).

As far as just plain outright disgusting, I would say Hostel is number one. I barely made it through, and I will never watch that again. The Saw movies are just plain outright crazy what they make them go through, sometimes I wonder about the people that come up with these movies. LOL!

Others that scare me to death....

The Entity (I really don't even like saying the name of this movie, it totally freaks me out and I am weirdly superstitious that I will bring bad karma on myself even thinking about it)
The Strangers
13 Ghosts
Amityville
The Exorcist
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Hills Have Eyes

I honestly couldn't watch the Blair Witch Project....the camera movement was too much and made me feel bad bad motion sickness.

I cant do scary much anymore these days. Wolf Creek did me in a couple of years ago. I didnt even make it to the end it scared me so bad.

We did watch the Happening the other night - kinda gay actually.

Witchboard scared the crap out of me when I was 13. LOL! I haven't seen the Saw movies, Sean isn't into scary movies, so he won't watch them with me. I don't mind them, but I don't like to watch them alone.

I can still get freaked out thinking about Scream.

When I got married I realized I don't have to watch scary movies to be cool anymore, so I stopped.

But we accidently went to see Signs with Mel Gibson several years ago, and we were spooked for like three days. We had to sleep with a light on and everything.

Oh another one that scares me is Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon...

and when we saw The Others (Nicole Kidman) it really spooked me...

I think I just love a really good ghost story kwim...not the blood and gore kind of stuff

Another movie that we saw was Darkness Falls..it was really kind of scary though I don't think it did so well money wise.

I think Signs is my favorite scary movie of all time and it's probably the last one I saw too! LOL! I have not seen Scream, The Blair Witch Project, any of the Saw Movies, The Ring or any of those. I used to love them all but now I'm a big huge whimp.

Funny story about Signs. DH and I had gone to the theater (which is a huge deal in itself since we never go to the movies and always wait for the video). On the way home the roads traveled are very dark and windy. We were going down a hill and all of a sudden there is this lady out at her mailbox in her bathrobe that just 'appears' out of nowhere! Darn light colored bathrobe from head to toe, she looked like an alien! Scared the crap out of both of us! Seriously, what the heck is she doing out there getting her mail at 11 o'clock at night anyway!
