what's the dealio?

I'm not a morning person nor have I ever been one. DH will let me sleep in sometimes and he gets frustrated with how long I sleep. I haven't been able to just sleep until I wake up ever. If I did, I'd probably sleep 24 hours easily. I am a tired person in general and have been since I was a little kid.

During the school year, now that I'm working, I set the alarm on my phone and then hit snooze once or twice. Then I jump out of bed, get the kids dressed and rush to get myself dressed. Its go, go, go from the minute I hit the floor until I get home from work at least. Sometimes I'll nap, other times I'm busy with other things.

On weekends and during breaks... I sleep till DH or the kids wake me up. Often they bring me a glass of Diet Pepsi to get me started. I stumble downstairs and eat something for breakfast and then sit down at the computer. If I sit in the living room I will fall back asleep in the recliner or on the couch so that's too dangerous. ;)

When we're on vacation or something like that, I'm up bright and early with bells on. DH loves when we're traveling or camping or doing something like that because I'm so chipper and bright-eyed. :)

Usually just a get up and start the day kinda gal. I like to enjoy some quiet time (30mins), but not necessary, which is good, because it doesn't happen too often.

Normal day, babys crawl in bed around 630, get up, shower, breakfast, leave the house.

I'm definitely not a morning person!! :D I have several alarms set for school days because I know I'll hit the snooze button. It takes me about 30 mins to actually drag myself out of the bed and I need my diet coke fix before 10am, lol.

i normally get up when dh leaves for work at 530. i make myself cup #1 of coffee, take the dog out, check fb, my forums, then emma almost always gets up at 6. she knows better than to talk to me until i finish my coffee so she'll usually sit and just watch tv until madelyn wakes up. when she gets up i'll make cup of coffee #2 and make them breakfast. i hate waking up.

I am not a morning person either. I get up, roll out of bed and into the shower. After that I feel slightly more human. I am in the office by 6:30 every morning because I get so much more done before everyone else starts arriving at 8:00. By the time they get there I am pretty much awake and ready for my breakfast, which I eat at my desk. On the weekends I am happy if I can sleep until 7 am. I like to read in bed for a while on Saturday and Sunday mornings. My boss told me the other day that I yawn until noon and he is so right. Of course I only sleep about 4 hours a day, so I'm usually tired. :D

I've been thinking lately that, ideally, my DH would just bring me coffee in bed so I could sip a little first thing to help me wake up. As it is, I drag my butt out of bed and into the shower with much foot-dragging (literally), eye-squinting, and a touch of nausea. By the time I'm done showering, I'm awake. Then, by the time I've gotten dressed and made it to the kitchen, I don't really need the coffee anymore (but I have it anyway!).

Now, if I can just get my DH to cooperate. . .

Rather than my bedside alarm clock, I've started using the alarm on my phone, which I leave charging on the kitchen counter at night. This forces me to get up and out of bed quickly so that the sound doesn't wake my DD. I had to start doing something drastic because I was just hitting the snooze on my alarm clock over and over and getting up way too late. Also, I have to have one cup of coffee in the mornings, or else I get awful headaches by lunch time.

I try to get up and have my shower and at least 2 cups of coffee before DD wakes up, lessens the chances of me growling at her.

First thing I need soda. Usually Dr.Pepper or Pepsi.
I am so not a morning person. I sleep in "If" my kiddos
allow it lol.

I like coffee or tea, but I'm on an anti-caffeine kick and have only had water for the last month - so far not missing it yet.

I recently gave up soda, don't drink coffee and am not a morning person. I wake up when DH leaves. All 3 kids are up by this time and are usually eating breakfast. While they finish their breakfast, I lay in bed for 10 minutes checking my email or playing words with friends with my mom (she's a serious night owl and no matter how late I go to bed, it is always my turn in the morning.) I drag myself out of bed to the bathroom and take my shower. By this point, my brain and my body are awake.

I'm 45 and since I was 14 I have had a bottle of Coke a day. Well I am over weight and my doctor has been harping, lol on me to quit drinking it. I tried for the last two years, really I have. I tried drinking ice teas, yuck! I tried juices, yuck, ice coffee's heck you name it, i've tried it!!! Well a couple weeks ago my doctor again said I need to lay off the "coke" she could tell I am a border line dietbatic just by my chin (yes its double) ...I don't know what happen in my head but its been EIGHT DAYS and NOT one drop of coke since, WATER WATER WATER!!! Im so proud of myself!!!

None I have went through 2 cases of bottle water and re don't have recycling in my area. My heart breaks looking in my trash to see all those plastic bottles :( , well my sister came over last night and bought me the Britta Water Bottle System, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

What a quinky dink you asked this :)

I usually wake up around 6am (except on weekends), hop in the shower then get dressed before heading downstairs. I make myself a protein shake and a Spark and play on the computer while drinking those. Once the caffeine kicks in I'm good to go but still don't like to be asked "stupid" questions until at least 2 hours after I've been up. Personally if my family can't manage while I'm waking up that isn't my problem. LOL Nope, not a morning person at all!!!
