Whats the deal with Paper Straws?

Ok I keep seeing paper straws for sale all over but have no idea what people are using them for? I just don't see what you are supposed to do with them. Tell me, why I need them? LOL

They're adorable. We had them at my daughter's graduation party to put in the drinks. Her colors were yellow and black and we had straws in all different patterns of yellow and black. I think they're just meant to be used a parties (they don't last more than an hour or so) as fun usable decorations.

Yeah they are super cute and pretty too. I have been seeing them on scrapbooking sites too though, not just for drinking. I came across a board on pinterest that used them in a layout as the stick of a magic wand, I think I need to do that for my girls. Plus its supposed to pour today so we need some indoor activities.

I think they're used a lot in papercrafting, which is probably why you're seeing them on scrapbook sites. I just used them as straws.
