What's Going On This Week?

I have missed y'all this week as we are settling into our new place. :hugs:

Anything fun/interesting/cool happening this week?

We have a busy week, my oldest will start high school next year and this week are all the meetings about how to register and what classes he can take as electives and other stuff like that. I'm so not ready to have a high schooler!!

On a plus side, it is cool enough in San Antonio area that I'm making chili for dinner! YUM!!

My boys are in the senior year and it's even MORE nerve racking now that we're setting them up for (gulp) college. But I sure remember prepping them for high school. I was so nervous!

We adopted a new puppy yesterday so I imagine I'm going to be spending my week cleaning up piddle and poo. Fun times. LOL

It's exam week for my daughter, and the beginning of Charlie and Snoopy phase that will probably last for a month or so until Kungfu Panda 3 is released.

This photo is adorable!!! If I were you, I'd scrap it immediately :)

Hahaha I'm waiting for the next featured designer kit to be released, and then I'm buying some dog-themed kit...and I will be doing just that! I have a feeling there will be a lot of dog layouts in my gallery soon. :D

I am prepping to go to an advanced wedding photography workshop. So I have been doing lots of packing, meal prep, and cleaning since I will be away from home for a few days.

That puppy is adorable!

Nothing fun - LOL. Cheyanne has midterms next week so she's been studying every free minute that she isn't in school or doing basketball. Work for me, so that's definitely not exciting.

I lead a very boring life; work, work and more work with some scrapping in the evening. I do have granddaughter #2 soccer on Thursday and granddaughter #1 soccer on Friday. I just can't believe that the game on Friday is at 10:20 for a 10 year old.

I've been finishing my 2015 scrapbook... That's the last major thing on my "nesting" list! And I'm so close to being finished!

My boys and I are visiting my parents out in the country this week. Its a sweltering 38-39 degree C dry heat, and they have no air conditioning, so it has sapped all my energy... I can barely sit upright at this computer... The local swimming pool is looking like a good option right now!

I'm going to be nosey and ask if it's normal for them to have those temps or not & that's why they don't have air conditioning? Goodness, I'd die! That's 100 degrees F for me! How are you staying cool?

Its normal to have several periods (of 3-4 days) each summer around those levels (up to about 43). The rest of the time its high 20s to low-mid 30s which is bearable. We've just been under the backyard sprinkler and the boys are now chilling out in a cold bath... we're also eating lots of ice cubes and sitting in front of fans!!

We're getting more cabinets put in the kitchen. Then new counter tops! Next I will have to do a back splash but, that can wait lol!

My husband has his first full week of working 70+ hours so I'm very much going with the flow. I don't really have anyone around to help me out if anything goes haywire (my parents are dead, my husband's parents aren't around, my sister works full-time and has her own kids, etc) so I'm just getting through each day and hoping I am sane by the end of it. So far so good. ;) I feel bad for the kids though, they miss their Dad - they'll only see him on Sundays.

I totally empathize. We haven't had temperatures quite that high in Tasmania, but they've been unusually high for us. It's been a crazy summer.

That's so exciting! We had our kitchen stripped back to the walls and completely renovated almost a year ago and I'm still loving it to bits. :)

Your photo is so sweet! My son's been wanting a dog for over a year, but he hasn't got one yet because I'm still not ready to be on toilet duty. ;)

Its a cruisy week for me - aqua zumba tomorrow & sunday, dr and chemist visits and probably a trip to the library to return some books, scrap (want to do two lines of bingo if I can, think blockout is a bit ambitious for me).....oh and clean my bedroom

Just lots of late nights at work this week! There is an unusual virus going around and that means more patients to see! Trying to stick to my "healthy me" plan as closely as I can! Friday night is my grandmothers birthday and the family is going to Olive Garden for dinner to celebrate her birthday!

When I was counting calories I remember having some of their soups. I think they were pretty healthy, so you can look some of those up before you go to dinner.

My kids are still on school break until Feb 1st. We're spending a lot of time in our pool and inside under the AC. Day trips here and there. Usually we go to the beach but this year we decided to stay home and enjoy our pool instead. We're staying overnight in the mountains next week and will do as much as we can while we're there :) I love the break, but this time of year I always feel so disconnected from everyone.
