what's everyone up to today?

I am soooo incredibly bored today. Not much to do around here. We might head up to the park in a little while and let my son play and feed the ducks provided it does not rain LOL. Not to exciting though. So what are your plans for the day?
 
It's pouring rain here. DH and I just cleaned the house through, it's usually my Sunday job, but my mom is visiting tomorrow, so I wanted it done today. I'm also catching up laundry because I'm going away for the week, Amelia has skating school for a week.
 
I cleaned here last night. My son dropped some nilla wafers under the sofa and did not bother to clean up after himself and we got ants. So I had to clean that mess up and while I was at it I just swept and mopped and put everything that needed to be put up up. We will see how long it lasts I guess. The kids being outta school sure does add a whole lot of extra housework though!!
 
My girls are across the street playing inside with the neighbors, DH is snoring on the couch and I'm here. :)
 
at the moment....working. It bites! Thankfully, I don't have to work every Saturday and it's only another hour and then I can head home.
 
I took my son to the cinema today to see Night at the Museum 2 (it was the Children's Movie Morning so an adult and child get in for £1.70! Bargin!), and then we went for noodles after.

It was a lovely day and almost makes up for the hellish first week of the holidays! ...Alex is soooo grumpy at the moment, and the wet summer weather is not helping at all.
 
HAha I decided to do a little of that too. Did a lift of the TOTM and I LOVE how it turned out!! Usually lifting is difficult for me and I cant seem to get the layout the way I want it especially when looking at ScarletSierra's gallery....it was tough to pick one cause they are allllll soooo GORGEOUS!!! Might tackle tomorrows challenge today also.

ce had an appt this morning.. did that.
went to the cemetery..
now I'm waiting on a phone call.. and another thing..
and...
I dunno.
maybe we'll go to the playground.
 
we actually decided to bbq outside today. Probably a mistake cause it is hot as heck out there. So soon as I can get my hubby up and motivated we will be out there cleaning the grill and getting it all ready to cook
 
We're cleaning up the house since Emma's party is tomorrow. Even though it's outside, everyone seems to find their way into the house at one point or another.

We actually just got home from "Party in the Park." It's a little, well, party they have in the park. They have about 5 bouncehouses for the kids to play in, food, and craft stuffs. They had a tractor pull for the kids at noon and Emma loved it last year.

Now, the girls are napping, so's Darik, and I think I may do the same!
 
I've done nothing today, we had a few cocktails last night and today I've mainly been hanging out on the sofa - I've only had about 3 hours sleep. My oldest DD is away with a friend and her grandparents for the weekend, and the youngest has spent most of the day playing with the girl next door. I did manage to set up my new computer though, SO bought me a new laptop as an early birthday present - I think my nagging was getting on his nerves, it's not my birthday for another couple of weeks:)

It's such a major improvement from my old laptop, but I'm still not sure I am keeping it - I keep thinking I could probably get an ugly laptop with better specs for the price. But then again, it is very pretty.. The shop it's bought in has a 30 day open buy policy, so I'm going to keep it for a while, and if it's good enough for my use I'll keep it.
 
We did some shopping at Sam's, and now I'm hoping to get some scrapping and cleaning done. My goal is to get DH and Rachel out of the house (told him they need to go play in the sprinkler) so that I can get in her bedroom and clean out toys in peace and quiet.
 
Boring day here. DH had to go into work, and the kids and I have just been around the house. With Lauren and Ben's naps (morning and afternoon for Lauren, late morning for Ben) we haven't had a chance to get out yet. We'll probably take the kids out for a while and then go to dinner when DH gets home. I finally feel inspired to do a challenge, which I haven't done in months, so I'm off to check out the TOTM gallery. I already finished 1 LO today, and 2 in a day doesn't happen too often for me.
 
We actually have a packed day. We had Nazarene Nationals at church (car show, pinewood derby car races, jumpers, food etc), this afternoon we have a surprise bday party to go to and then tonight a wedding! Plus I need to finish a LO tonight :)
 
Cleaning here too.. I'm doing my hardcore cleaning over the next few weeks, decluttering, etc. Did the kitchen today, cleaned out cabinets, cleaned off the top of the refrigerator, etc. Made koolaid and chocolate chip cookies with the kids, now they are napping and I'm gonna scrap. We're going out to dinner tonight. :)
 
We met my sister & her fam and my best friend & her fam at the park to celebrate Luke's half birthday. it wasn't anything huge- cake and playing. But they sure had fun!
 
I'm trying to catch up on CT work, DH went and got our smog check for my car, and Yorick is napping after being a Class A Jerk all morning to his brother.
 
I just got up from a nice long nap! It was sooo needed! We have pink eye spreading around our house and we have ear infections and stuff going around. :( So we all got some rest! it was lovely!
 
Thanks Jessica! IT is totally awful and I have to say that putting eye drops on 3 year old is the WORST! It's so traumatic for everyone :( I hope it passes quickly!! Thanks for the well wishes!
 
I've had a busy week, so I'm just taking it slow today. Been watching some tv shows and planning to scrap later on.. :)
