What makes you want to buy a kit?

I am SO making a pink unicorn kit now... haha jk

honestly... It's totally random what grabs my eye. No rhyme or reason.. just whatever I'm in the mood for (ok.. we all know my primary colour choice.. so if that's in a kit, it proll catches my eye faster lol)

For me, it's the LO's I see with it. Putting CT pages in the product description is a huge huge thing for me, especially if I don't have time to gallery surf. If I click on the kit and then I am taken to LO's that are totally rockin' I usually buy it. I don't like it when I have not seen any LO's with a kit.

Definitely color. I know what colors I'll use and what ones I won't and even if I love the theme of a kit, if it's not in the colors I'm comfortable using I'll leave it at the store every time. I love bright colors and soft colors and have no real use for dark colors - unless it's a dark color mixed with brights. But all dark colors, nope.

Oh, and the kit has to be packed with elements too (and a ribbon wrap doesn't hurt either - I freaking love those things!). I'm so disappointed with a few of the kits I bought very early on because they just don't have enough elements to keep me interested. :p

Usually color, then elements.

I used to buy a lot, based on just the preview, then was disappointed with what was inside, because I hadn't read the description of how MUCH is in the kit. So I read that now as well ....to be sure my kits are loaded with the things I need.

I'm with Jaime. BIG emphasis on color here. Though, package an action, layer style, alpha in .abr file in the kit, and this sucker/lazy bug will usually bite...

colors, price, elements and then who designed it. All equal contributors to my decision. Although price is a big part of it. I like sales and FWP. I wanted to suggest for designers here if you had a mini kit that maybe had like 2 or 3 papers and a handful of elements that would coordinate with the kit for a limited time only say a week instead of the quickpages or boardbook type layouts that are FWP now that would be so cool. I personally do not use those full sized quickpages or the mini ones. I might one day but a FWP coordinating mini-kit would likely piush me oiver the edge on alot of purchases
