...boob jobs, lol. i have been wanting to get them since having my last child 2 years ago. i never had a very big chest to begin with, like a b cup or so. but now they are like deflated balloons, lol. i'm so self conscious. i have other body issues, but some crunches and things can easily solve those problems :D. so we're thinking saving up (lol) and possibly getting them done next year. i'm not talking huge dolly parton boobs. just atleast a c cup. DH is wanting them a tad bigger, like a d but i don't want to go to big. he's not the one who'd have to live with them :D. i want boobies like the victoria's secret models! :D

i'm scared though. i've never had any type of surgury before. i'm going to be sure i check out the doctor, see his befor and afters, his success rates etc. i don't want some quack deforming me, lol.
 
I had a partial mastectomy (so mine was more of a necessary thing) but I LOVE my new girls! :) Stop reading now if you're worried about TMI......

I also breastfed 2 kids and went from about a 34c down to 34b and had always considered doing it... but then I discovered a lump. They were going to remove a LARGE lump giving me one breast that would be smaller than a 34a and my other 34b breast (way too lopsided for me). Then I thought, if your going to have to put in an implant to rebuild one anyway, why not do that to both to repair the BF deflated look?

SO... I got saline implants on both sides under the muscle (one much larger to accommodate for the removed breast tissue) this April. The under the muscle procedure is the way to go because they look natural, not that fake grapefruits-under-the-skin look. My new OB/GYN couldn't tell when he started the breast exam until I told him about it. The scars are tiny (less than an inch wide) and in the breast crease so you can't see them. Anyway, I'm now a 34D, which sound big but really fits my frame (I'm tall and was a bit pear shaped). I'm more proportionate and fill out clothes better... and no one knows that I basically had a breast removed beforehand as we did the surgery back to back. I didn't want to live with one breast as I had just turned 30.

If not for the mastectomy, I probably wouldn't have done it as I'm a scaredy cat, but now that I've been through it, I can honestly say I'd do it again in a heartbeat (even if I didn't have to).

For about 3 days I needed help getting out of bed because you have to take it easy on your pec muscles (under the muscle is more intense and therefore a bit harder to recover from) so only do it if someone can help with the kids for a few days. I was back at work 5 days post-op and feeling pretty good.

I honestly have always wanted them. I think if you can afford them and your getting them for YOU or you and your spouse then more power to you. I don't agree with people who get them in hopes of getting a man...or attention. But looking better and feeling better about yourself is a great reason to get them if you ask me!
 
i would feel so much better!! maybe it would motivate me to work on my stomach and stuff if i knew my chest would be looking better after the surgery, lol. i need to do some crunches or something but i have no energy!
 
I keep telling my family when my baby is no longer breasfeeding and I have lost the extra weight.. ALL of my extra pennies are going towards a boob job OR lift. I am a DD, but since bfing.. they are more like LONG DD's. I want a tummy tuck too. After having 3 c-sections, I am a wreck!! I hate looking at my belly.. the only positive thing about the mess I see in the mirror are my beautiful boys.

Long story short.. IMO, go for it! I know there are many health risks, but do a lot of research on doctors, etc.
 
gosh. i would love to, but for the opposite reason. i kinda hate you small boobied girls who think you need em bigger. i hope your back burns like mine does everyday...totally kidding...i say go for it. get nice watermelons and then watch them not sag. that's what i'd do. :D

i hope one day to lose the rest of my weight and then get mine smaller(!!!)...again to get rid of the back pain and so they can salute everyone when they walk by. :p
 
I say if it makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin, then go for it.
I'm a chicken, so any optional surgery would be a no-no for me...and last time I was fitted I was like a G cup, so the only boob surgery I'd want would be a reduction!
 
Hubby says my Girls are big but I don't think so. I wear a D cup - even when I am what I consider "skinny" LOL

I just want my girls to be perky again :)
 
I come from the other side and think that its no fun having bigger ones so I wouldnt want to get one done(I am almost a D cup but not quite...a C is way to small). Id like to be a B cup again though. So I suppose my answer isnt really any help. I guess it really is just to me accepting yourself as you are (not that working on physical fitness is bad but I would never go as far as having surgery to change anything about myself) If that works for you though and you can afford to get it done then go for it!!
 
Two weeks ago I walked into Victoria's Secret and said "Give me your super-sonic lifting bras to hold these things up!" - and they did and now I feel perky again. :)
 
I have no aversion to cosmetic surgery... as long as it's not rediculously unnatural. I had breast reduction surgery 18 months ago and absolutely LOVE the outcome. The scars are NOTHING compared to how much better I feel physically and psychologically. I went from a DDD to a full C... they removed almost 3 lbs from my chest. Once I finally reach my goal weight I am definitely getting a tummy tuck and possibly my inner thighs lifted because, according to the surgeon who did my reduction, my skin will always sag in those two areas... GROSS! I have a feeling my arms will too but I'm not sure I want the scars that go with having that skin removed. We'll see.

Anyway, I say as long as you're totally educated about your options and your goal is a fuller, but natural look... go for it!
 
Corey it is ironic that you brought this topic up....Hubby bought me some clothes for Christmas and said "I should have brought you some bras, huh?" To which I replied "Maybe you could buy me the boobs to go in them instead"....LOL I am going to be 45 years old in February and I am a "barely B"....:blink:Only time in my life that I was bigger was when I was pregnant for my daughter....My daughter, on the other hand, is a Double D and before having her children used to complain saying she wanted a reduction....

Good luck with finding a Doctor, etc....:thumbup:

I have no problem with it. I want a reduction and a lift. These things are bothering my back, but I figure there's no need to mess with 'em until I hit my goal weight. I would gladly donate two cup sizes to the next poster who asks for them LOL
 
My girlfriend had one, she says it was totally worth the money and the pain (she is a big ole wimp) and would do it again in a heart beat. I SO badly want to get the girls put back where they belong!

Sounds like me and my mom. I always complain its not fair I'm so huge and she isn't. She says she saved all she had for me LOL
 
I just want a lift... put my DD's back where they are supposed to be. :blink: Of course, I would like the burning back pain to go away too...
 
lol, i'm not looking to cause any back pain; i just want them to be perky, a tad bit bigger, but natural! i don't wanna look like a porn star. not that i watch porn......:p;)
 
My husband at first didn't want me to have them because of that very reason! Now that they are here, look natural and don't resemble any adult movie star, he's got no complaints! LOL :)
 
I say that if thats what makes ya happy go for it! Honestly if I could afford it and could well yeah affod it LOL then I would totally go for it when I was sure we were done having babies and I had lost enough weight to justify it. My boobs are on the bigger side now cause of pregnancy adn the kids but they don't look anything like I want them too LOL
 
Well I think after I am done having babies I'd want one too. I am happy with my size (34c) but I am so short that they'd look weird any bigger :) Any way, what helps me is Victoria's Secret very sexy push up bras. Yes, they are expensive but I've seriously had the same bras for the longest time and they hold up well!! At first I wasn't sure about the padding but I am happy with the results lol. At least they aren't sagging :)
 
I'll admit that I used to look down upon people who had boob jobs - I just didn't understand why you would want to be/have something you weren't created to be/have..........

Then I had babies, each one breastfed app. 1 year, and then I TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD! I got mine done in November '07 (I think). Granted, I would not have done it yet had I known we were going to have one more baby. We should be okay with breastfeeding, but there is always a possibility of having issues (scar tissue, etc.).

Otherwise, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. After nursing my first two for so long, I was absolutely deflated. My hubby didn't necessarily want it done, but he loves how it looks now. My whole goal in the surgery was to look absolutely natural and to be just normal for my body size. I do look very natural and most people (even friends whom I didn't tell that I had the surgery) have absolutely no idea I've had it done.

You'll have a number of options. My implants are saline (you can also get silicone which does feel more natural because it's more like gel), place under the muscle, and the incision was on the edge of the areola (can only see the scars if you are really looking for them).

If you have the money, go for it. I feel like I look so much better in my clothes than I did before.
 
I'm all for it. My girls are big but have gone south, for sure. :p I'd probably be interested in getting a lift done once I'm done with having babies.
 
I think Laura A. said it all. As long as it is natural and not Pamela Anderson it is ok. But then if you wanted big uns that is ok too. As long as you have clear reasons for doing it I would say go for it.
 
If I had the money I would definitely do it...I would love to fill a B cup ~ a C would be a dream!!! LMAO 3 kids later they are smaller now than they were 16 years ago. At least I can say they are NOT heading south b/c there is nothing to sag! :p I couldn't even get boobs when I was pg...I wasn't meant to have boobs that are real!! It's a good thing my DH knew what he was getting before he married me! LOL
 
I haven't read all the replies, but I just wanted to put in my two cents. I had a breast reductio when I was 19 and it was the best thing I ever did. I was HUGE (I'm talking double Es) and my shoulder bones had grown with permanent identations in them from my bra straps and I had all sorts of back problems, blah blah blah. Reduction is a lot more invasive than implants, and I'd still do it again in a hearbeat. Its pretty painful (duh, right?) but they give you all kinds of great painkillers for that.
I think as long as you are done having kids, then you should totally go for it. But you're a pretty petite woman, right? I'd go absoltely NO BIGGER than a full c-cup. Seriously, anything bigger would look HUGE on you. I'm a bigger girl (ok, I'm quite chubby lol) and full c's on me look a heck of a lot different than full c-s on a tiny girl, ya know? Just keep that in mind.

i'm tall and, well, thin i guess. though i have gained 10 pounds since thanksgiving and my belly still has flab from the last two back to back pregnancies-yuck its so gross, lol. crunches may not be enough. i wonder if i could have a tummy tuck...anyway, i don't really want any bigger than a full c. but i'd consider a small d if i could see how its look on me. i definitely am going to make sure the doctor knows what he's doing and do all my research. we don't have that kind of money laying around so we'll have to save up or try to get a loan(?) but it seems funny to finance boobies lmao!
 
You're smart to do lots of research on your doc. And, in my opinion, theres no such thing as knowing TOO MUCH or asking TOO MANY questions. LIke you said, you don't want to get butchered.
 
I know lots of women love their implants, but be sure to read up on the complications before you get them. There is sometimes a need for revision surgery because of scar tissue contraction or deflation of saline implants, so that may be something to consider.
 
i've already started my research. i found a Dr. Wagoner here in Indy that is double board certified, has awesome before and after photos, great reviews and voted like best surgeon several years in a row. and they do free consultations. they even have ways to finance, but we have a few bills we want to get paid off. so probably next fall or maybe earlier. i'm nervous but excited. i am doing this for myself, though DH will enjoy them too wink wink nudge nudge, lol
