What foods do you refuse to eat?

I had fun with Amanda and Meagan's collection How "Bout No" I scrapped foods that I refuse to eat. What are some foods that you don't like and refuse to eat?

Pasta (like macoroni and spaghetti) and red meat (like steak). And there are some other things, like a few vegetables.
I know, most people love these, but it's a 'no' for me.
On the other hand, if I would come over to you and you would serve this, I would still eat it (maybe not as much as you had hoped).

You are so sweet! That is wonderful that you would still eat these at someone's home. I don't think I could force myself to eat liver or calamari. I could force myself to eat a few small pieces of black licorice but that is all!

Beetroots!! Yukkie and schrimps brrrr 😵
My husband is always trying to eat healthy. A few months ago he bought fresh beets, stems, leaves and all, and would chomp into them like an apple! I love pickled beets but could not see how he could eat raw beets that way. He finally settled on eating canned beets. He eats some every day. :)

I always say I'm not a fussy eater but then I start listing what I don't eat and I wonder if perhaps I would be called fussy by some... so here goes:
Chillies, curry (anything spicy)
Avocado
Brussels Sprouts
Pumpkin
Liver, kidneys (or any other offal)
Calamari
Spinach (or as we call it "green mush" - it's about the only veg that restaurants serve - no thank you)
Tea
Alcohol (I don't like the smell)
chocolate with coconut in it - I do eat both just not together!

Beets,
Black Licorice,
Peaches,
Kale,
Anchovies,
Liver,
Raw Oysters,
Canned Tuna Fish,
Water Chestnuts,
Capers,
Coconut

I'm sure there are more but these pop in my head. Some are flavor, and some are texture.

Refuse might be a little strong. How about avoid? At all costs? lol
I don't like sauerkraut. Rich does. I tasted a bite the last time I got it for him. Nope. Still don't like it.
I tried to eat escargot once. I couldn't get myself to bite down into it. I guess I had to spit it out. It was the night of my high school graduation. Some friends and I went to a fancy-ish restaurant and ordered some as an appetizer. lol Along those lines, I'm no fan of raw oysters, either. Growing up on the coast (Savannah) lots of people ate raw oysters. I can't even imagine eating them. Yuk! 🤮

Lol I feel like I'm the adventurous eater here! I like a lot of all those things you guys have said! But I wasn't always. I was super picky as a kid. Not sure what changed- but I pretty much will try anything. I'm not a big fan of a few things, but would eat it if I had to- asparagus, sauerkraut, beets, liver. Mostly it's a texture thing that I don't love. It is funny though because my husband is picky & thus I do have pickier kids.

There are so many in Japan lol!!! Where shall I start!! lol

I have a total aversion for octopus. It's savory here but I don't like the look of the legs and I know it is chewy/hard like rubber and I hate that.

There is also this sea cucumber thing that grosses me out. No way I put that in my mouth lol

-seafood except some types of white fish
-anything that has a soft mushy texture (oatmeal, grits, room temperature bread, stuffing)
-any type of pepper aside from chili powder or bell pepper including salsa
-Miracle Whip
-tofu
-root beer
-vegetables that taste too "vegetable-y"
-almost all types of lettuce
-anything pumpkin/pumpkin spice-flavored
-coffee
-tea
-avocados & guacamole
-cilantro
-lime (I'm really fun at Mexican restaurants -- ha!)
-eggs by themselves
-desserts with nuts in them or on them
-all berries except for strawberries
-organs or wild game
-coconut

I could go on. :)

Our household live on pasta and red meat lol

The list of foods I will eat is shorter.. haha. I am unfortunately really picky and a bland eater.
This is me!

I do not eat anything that lived in water. Not fish, seafood, fish sticks ... nothing.

I also really am not a fan of mayo or 'sauces' - I like things more plain Jane.

Reading all your lists I realised there are a few more things I don't like: cold coconut (if it's been warmed up, like in a curry, it's okay for me), any organ (never tried them, never will) and game are not my thing either. I also don't like chicory and I don't drink coffee (don't like the smell nor the taste, plus it gives me migraines). Oh, and I'm not a fan of raw fish, except when in sushi. Oh, and please no boba balls in my drink...

I gave up alcohol, because it gave me migraines and I don't really miss it. A mocktail is fine by me instead of an alcoholic one.

Hummus
Mushrooms
Eggplant
Cantaloupe and Honeydew
cauliflower

Those are things just off the top of my head....I'll come back and edit if I think of any others. 😄

Oh, yes, Miracle Whip!! So gross!

Olives
Liver
Scallops (even growing up on the coast in a fishing village, I don't like scallops, I can do raw oysters, all the other seafoods, but I don't like those, especially the giant ones, at least the gulf ones are small, but still a nope).

Those are a couple that really standout, I'm sure there are other things that are outside of the every day that I wouldn't be exposed to. Even liver, I probably wouldn't be exposed to normally, but I'll try most things, unless they look too weird.

We tried tuna tartar on our cruise last month, wasn't a fan.

Durian (that smelly spiky fruit) is on the top of my list for sure!
Escargot
Banana (ate too much of it when my dad was a seller, traumatized!)
Most intestines
Licorice
Black pudding
Anything with strong smells
Canned fish
Eel

I refuse to eat fish and shellfish because I'm allergic.

I prefer not to eat organ meats, game meat, Miracle Whip, and raw onions.

I don't like badly cooked food. Like, I'll eat asparagus if it's made well (not limp!) or spinach in a smoothie or well made salad (not as a mushy side). But I'll push it around my plate instead of eating it if it's badly cooked.

When it comes to food, I'm willing to try everything. But when I don't like it, I'll never eat it again. Thank God I like and love a lot of food except for:
Broad beans....never liked them. 😝
Cous-cous...don't like the texture. (n)
Dutch herring....being a Dutchie, I thought I'd have to give it a go. Big mistake.
Ostrich steak...after one bite, I saw the 🐮🐮 walking in the meadow. :poop: Never again.

LOL I can't say that there is anything I would refuse to eat. I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food and I enjoy brains and snails and sweetbreads (things that most people would find gross) when my mom makes it.

I found something! Food coloring! I hate the look of colored food and find it very unappetizing and absolutely unnecessary.

I love how you used this kit @EvelynD2 ! There are a lot of things I've never tried just because they sound gross to me:
-meatloaf - I know a lot of people love it, but just the thought turns my stomach
-liver (or any internal organs) My grandma used to love giblets...
- beets

Things I can think of that I've eaten and won't again:
-soggy bread... eeeww!!
-olives
-canned tuna
-octopus

I have a lot of texture issues so I don't eat a lot.
Meat (all of it, yes, no chicken & no fish, too...this always gets asked)
Berries (yep, all of them, I can slightly handle blueberries in stuff, but not on their own)
Eggs
Ketchup
Sauerkraut
Dumplings
Jello
Mushy stuff (if you add texture to it, I will eat like bananas in pudding or granola in yogurt, etc.)
Kiwi
Avocado (I can slightly handle this, but I would rather not)
Cake (again can handle, but would rather not)
Cheese curds
Tea (hot & cold)
Black Licorice
I am sure there is lots more but this is what is coming to me now.
