What foods do you like that most people don't?

Yes, sauerkraut and choucroute are the same (at least to my understanding when either in Germany or in France). It's cabbage made sour. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I eat and don't dislike it. It also depends on what it's served with. My mom used to make it from the oven with crumbled mashed potatoes on top and added bacon and fruit.
Oh thank you Marieke! Never taste with all those delicious ingredients. here it is considered a traditional German or Alsatian dish with steamed potatoes, different meats and sausages. There are some with juniper berries that I love lol. I never thought of preparing it any other way but it really makes me want to!

Parmesan on root veggies and asparagus is good too. I roast them or pan sear to form a crust and then mix in pan and shake parm in. I buy real parm not the shaker but either works, I just prefer the flavor of real parm.
I have used parmesan on asparagus, zucchini, too. I'm going to try it on Brussels sprouts next time I make them! I like real parm, too. Costco has it shredded without cellulose so it melts really well.
