What do YOU want to see....

in a pregnancy kit? I know a lot of us are having/just had babies and I have a preggo bundle on tap for this week and I'm struggling with themed elements...so you tell me! :D
 
I'm assuming you mean beyond the usual hearts, ribbons, bows, etc.? How about: Tape measure or scale, wrapped presents, "It's a Girl/Boy/Baby" balloons/banners, square frame for ultrasound photos, moneyelated elements (for all the baby and maternity clothes shopping, haha!), pregnancy test stick, calendar, checklists, appointment cards...
 
I want to see ME not pregnant! Is that what you mean? JK

Something for the ultrasound pics like a decorated frame would be cool...I just started scanning that stuff...scrapped it in "paper" when I was a paper scrapper but would totally redo it...
 
I think something more 'motherish' rather than 'babyish' would be lovely. Special word items like...Beauty, Cherish, Nurture, Mothers Love, 'nesting' (some birds would be fun)!!!
 
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see something about trying to conceive - there's not much out there that is for that, it's all about being pregnant, not trying to get pregnant - for a long time or not ... wordstrips/art for Waiting, TTC, BFP, Surprise! (for those unexpected ones lol), Clomid, Ovulating, Cycles, Temps ... you get the idea.

For a preggo kit - tums, pepto bismal, something that looks like an ultrasound machine? A big red 'no' circle for all those things you can't have ... a tape measure, elastic, maybe buttons that look like they 'popped' off something (broken string?) ...

For TTC, maybe some IF terms--terms that you never thought you would have to know the meaning of before TTC.

For the birth, something so that you can scrap your birth story.
 
You, my dear, have EXCELLENT timing!

Here's what I know I want right now.... I wish I could think of more things than just the following:

-Belly silhouette or something similar
-TEST! Positive test!
-Something about Daddies, definitely...
-Anything that is a journaling starter... something about cravings, or, "how big you are this week", "how much you weigh this week" (you know those pregnancy newsletters that say about how long your baby would be, or how big, or what parts of the baby are developing???)
-Anything about nausea! Definitely need something about nausea/morning/all day sickness...

Also... I know this isn't necessarily the sort of thing you're asking for, but a breastfeeding add on or some WA would be cool...


And this is just a random addition, but on babycenter.com they have a week-by-week comparison of your child to different produce goods (lentil, ear of corn, pumpkin)... something like that would be cool (though, I'm not suggesting it so much as saying, well... idk).
 
Also I second Saltines, scale, etc. Shopping bags!
Music notes? Do any other ladies play music for their bellies???
Pillows? They're lifesavers for me...
 
Ditto Kristi. There are lots of pg kits, but not many that are focused on the mom rather than the baby.
 
I have yet to scrap either of my preggo pics and my babies are 21 and 14.....so I really second what Kristi and LeeAndra said...a bit more Mom focused....maybe what your hopes and dreams where for them before they got here......and what about something about baby showers...there's all kinds of party themed kits but not really one I have seen that focuses on that....just a suggestion :)

This... also for the prego stick test, if you have one positive, could you also have one negative?
 
Labels for each week or trimester, dr appointment card, something about tests, word strips with all of the fun pregnancy side effects, and "it's a boy" "it's a girl" wordart.

My thought exactly! hehe :)

What about a little something for those of us that done having our babies, but still feel that little tug on our hearts when we see those that are pregnant?

We LOVED that piece of produce thing!!! It made up laugh every single week!

what is TTC?

I like the cravings word art idea ... hmmm could she do an add on cravings kit? Let's see one kid it was anything TACO BELL, the 2nd kid it was CRAB RANGOON, and the 3rd kid it was Italian food .... ROTFL

I used Misty's newspaper templates to scrap the birth story last weekend ... it worked out pretty cool I think....

My babies are 21, 16, and 15 ... so I don't have a lot of pics like ladies that are scrapping while pg would have ... but I do have baby shower pictures to scrap ... good idea!

I didn't start scrapping until my 21 year old was 4 ... and then having the other two right in a row practically ... my scrapping got put on hold for awhile so really wasn't into the scrapping at that time to THINK about all these pics that some ladies will take ... i.e. I probably only have 4 pictures of me pg ... and those would have been at the baby shower!!

So maybe an idea would be a "basic" pg kit ... and mini add ons in different themes (i.e. breastfeeding, trying to get pg, stages of pg, showers, cravings, etc.) that people could pick and choose what applies to their pics??

Maybe would make it easier on you??? Think of it kinda like buying the basic Pokemon trading card GAME and the add ons would be booster packs. ;)
 
Thanks girls :) There will be two kits, one for mamas pregnant with boys, one for mamas pregnant with girls (if you like to keep your books in the "right" gender line..I think I'm gonna use both hehe!) and a couple add ons to make as many people happy as possible!

I've got stuff that covers adoption, multiples, baby showers, TTC and most of all, mommies! :)

There are lots of good suggestions! Im excited to see your kit Traci! I just found out today what I am having and I cant wait to scrap it!!
 
OMG, I just saw the girl kit and you guys are seriously going to love it... I can't wait to see the boy kit and totally am going to scrap with both.

I don't know if this would fit now, or something that can be done at a later time, but I need something to scrap the loss I feel about only having 3 kids, when I always thought I'd have 4. I had a m/c with my first, and I always feel like "someone" is missing. I need to scrap this to help get my thoughts out, but I haven't found a good kit to do this with yet :)

I agree. Even though I am pregnant I have suffered a m/c and would like to find a kit that would be fitting for this.
Maybe a possible mini-kit add-on or something.

I also vote for this. I had a m/c that I am still dealing with. I went to therapy for months (it happened last December). For some reason I can never shake the acute feeling that someone is missing. I still know exactly how old my baby would be from the due date I was given, I still know the day I had my first positive test, the day I miscarried, everything. I need a kit to get my feelings about it out...

there's word art to take care of that ;)

and remember, Traci said there will be a pregnant with boys kit and a pregnant with girls kit along with add-ons for some of the other things mentioned in this thread :)
