what do you think? Before & after photos.

I got some pictures of my daughter and granddaughter today. She did not like the background in the photos because it was just her apartment building. She asked me if I could change out the background. I have never really done that before but thought I would give it a try. Here is the before and after:

After using a picture I took at the beach sometime back:



So what do you think? Does it look ok? She loves it which is important but was just wondering what others thought. For a first try I think it is ok I guess
 
I'd make the waves a little less red (on my computer they're at a different tone than the girls) but other than that I think it looks good.

Amazing job! What a fun thing to be able to do. :)

I didn't notice it until I read Trish's post, but I see the red. There's a tiny red hue in the white water on the waves. It's not super noticeable... It's just the white balance in the two photos not being perfectly matched. I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Great job changing out the background, and what a cute photo of your daughter and granddaughter! But I agree about the waves. Where they crest and on the sand I can see a magenta tint.
 
Thanks guys. I decreased the red slightly for that layer. I dont really see the red tinting myself but did notice a purplish tint. I added a little blue to the water because it was kinda greyish looking and not super pretty like the water on the west coast of Fl. and down at the keys. But thats it. That might have made the weird tinting on the waves too.
