What do you eat for lunch?

I'm going to try and get better at meal planning. Please Help me.

Lunch I can't ever figure out what I want to eat. This is when I'm most likely to say fast food time.

I'm kind of a picky eater too, I don't like a lot of different types of veggies. And I get sick of eating sandwiches all the time.

I usually eat leftovers from the night before if they aren't any i usually make a small pasta meal or have a salad. I will link you up some of the foods i eat after i get back from the grocery store.

I plan out our dinners so I have yummy left overs. I also use lunch time to make things that only I like (especially on my work from home days). So a little bit of pasta with chopped veggies, a little ricotta cheese, mozarella. Turkey chili - I make a batch and freeze it in smaller portions to just grab and heat for lunch. Same with other soups that only I like. I prefer making a pannini vs having a cold sandwhich but only if we have yummy bread. Left over meat from the night before remade into nachos, a wrap, over rice, over salad. When I was working in the office full time I would make a tuna noodle casserole and have that for a few days same with mac & cheese, ziti, etc.

Hope that gets you thinking in a different direction.

Lunches tend to be repetitive here. I only plan dinners. For lunches I just need to have a variety of ingredients for quick-to-prepare meals in the house and then each of us picks what sounds good that day. I don't usually serve dinner leftovers for lunch because I use them for another dinner.

I eat melted cheese on English muffin, soy hot dogs, a big fruit salad with crackers and cheese, omelets, soup, cottage cheese (plain or with bananas cut into it), and sometimes bean burritos (the super simple kind, where you just layer canned beans, corn, and cheese in a tortilla, microwave, then top with lettuce and sour cream).

The kids eat a lot of yogurt (as a main item or as a dip for fruit), sandwiches, cold chicken, pizza, and sometimes breakfast things that I don't have time to cook at breakfast, like scrambled eggs.

When I don't have leftovers in the fridge, my favorite thing to eat for lunch is soup. Sometimes I make a bunch and freeze things, other times I eat something from a can. For my lunch, I make soups that my husband just won't eat: like Gingered Butternut Squash, or Creamy Asparagus. YUM!

Leftovers are my favorite lunch. I don't like lunch because I never know what to eat and get tired of the same things... so here are some things we have (my hubby comes home for lunch most days)

Leftovers
Sandwiches (peanut butter or ham/turkey)
Tuna sandwiches (tuna, miracle whip/mayo, cheese on toasted bread)
Egg sandwiches (sometimes with ham and cheese)
Ramen
Mini pizzas (sauce and toppings on biscuits)

I used to eat these but I'm trying to eat better:
frozen dinners
frozen burritos (okay, not me but my hubby)

Even though we cycle through these things, I still get really really sick of them and am rarely in the mood for anything.

I have a salad almost every day, but a yummy one with lots of good veggies in it. I also put a small scoop of cottage cheese in it for my daily milk as I am not a big milk drinker. :)

The tuna lunch is what I eat most often....like 5 out of 7 days of the week!!! It's so easy and so good!!!

I'm trying to cut back on carbs, so today I had pre-cooked grilled chicken breast with some store-bought pesto wrapped in lettuce leaves. And I had some veggies with hummus on the side. It was really good!

I do salads most days and will mix it up with tuna, grilled chicken, or half a sandwich (mostly turkey) and some yogurt.

During the week at uni I have a sandwich and muffin around 12.30-1pm but right now while I am working it is whenever I am not interrupted (I am sole charge so get interruptions frequently)

Leftovers if there are any.

Homemade soups - I'll make a soup on Sunday to have for the week. This week is Minestrone (full of yummy veggies ;))

Other days I'll have a whole wheat tortilla with roasted garlic hummus and stuffed with fresh veggies or a salad with lots of veggies, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds, chopped apple, and some nuts.

i take my lunch to work so most days it is a salad, small portion of leftovers or a morning star veggie burger. i hard boil 4 eggs on sunday to have through the week as well as stocking up on lunchmeat (i like the oscar meyer deli selects. 6 slices for 1 point) to put on my salad or do a sandwhich. i do greek yogurt with fresh fruit or jam. if i don't do a salad, then i do fresh veggies cut up with ranch dressing to dip.

I eat a banana, some other kind of fruit (berries, pear, apple, etc.), a little snack size hummus, some baby carrots and a small handful of gluten free pretzels.

we do a lot of tuna and pb&j here or leftovers if we have them, but that is rare. I sometimes make myself a salad, but not as much as I should. I usually try to serve fruit or a veggie with lunch though so at least we're getting a serving of produce with our lunch (i'm also a huge fan of the low sodium v8).

I eat every 2/3 hours. So lunch is usually a salad or yogurt with granola. Or if I'm out I'll have my protein shake. I'm not a big lunch person.

Since I work outside of the home and I'm terrible at bringing my lunch, I eat out almost exclusively. I wish I was better at planning. Occasionally, I will stock up on frozen meals or bring in left overs, but that is definitely the exception rather than the norm.

We have left overs too and if there is none, I love Cheese, crackers and fresh fruit is my choice :)

Lots of good ideas here - its making me hungry!

My kids eat nachos (multigrain if possible) and salsa, cheese, and turkey breast rolls most days. Sometimes I make them kraft dinner (ew LOL). Or I make soup - they love brocolli soup, lemon rice, or mushroom.
I often eat leftovers or a salad, if I find time to eat lunch.
