Any have fun plans for Labor Day Weekend here in the US?

We have no real plans other than some how I agreed to let my oldest have 3 friends spend the night tomorrow night and my youngest is having 2 friends spend the night. So I guess it's kind of an unplanned slumber party. So I see lots of lots of speed cleaning Sat am before college football starts and I lose my helpers to the TV

My mom is coming over on Sunday to help me rearrange and redecorate my daughter Hannah's room.

No plans on Monday - maybe we'll just have a PJ day and hang out here at home and do nothing. That sounds really nice!!

Nope nothing!!! Probably just lazying around all 3 days!!! *lol* Oh I take that back...we are going to the drive in one night....it's the last weekend they are open and they are showing ParaNorman and Diary of a Wimpy Kid --something or other!!! But other then that....zero plans here!!!

We are repainting the front bedroom (which is now my son's), and then ripping out the carpets and laying down Prego flooring... so we put the "labor" into Labor Day... hahaha

WE'RE WATCHING THE NOTRE DAME/NAVY GAME, BABY! Ha! It's on a 9 a.m. tomorrow since it's in Dublin. Then tomorrow afternoon/evening Joel has to work, so maybe Luke and I will go on a date. We're going to my parents' for lunch on Sunday, but we do that every 1st Sunday. That afternoon we're having some of Joel's friends over for a cookout b/c they invited themselves over. LOL Monday I just want to chill. Oh I'm sure I'll plan for at least the start of the new school week, too.

One last get-away - a trip to Chicago :) we are staying at my sisters house and are planning to go to millennium park, the field museum, navy pier and a cubs game. Should be a fun weekend - hopefully it doesn't rain too much!

I'm super excited! We are going to Duluth, MN. We are going to stay at a really nice motel. We are going on a train ride up the north shore, going on a boat ride, checking out the waterfalls and lighthouses in the state parks and going to the aquarium. We've never been there before, but it all sounded so fun and I wanted to do something special since its my son's first long weekend of being a kindergartner.

We're planning to go hiking tomorrow, to a pool party at hubby's co-worker's house on Sunday, and hopefully getting the boys' bathroom finished enough to use it on Monday. We started re-doing the bathroom in April... I'm soooo ready for it to be DONE!

besides wanting the weekend to hurry up and end so i can find out after the 4th if I got into Yari's (Jady) ct team. But don't have really any plans this weekend.

Not much, watching the first Michigan game of the year tomorrow, maybe grocery shopping, sounds exciting, doesn't it.

My sister and I are heading up to my aunt's place in Maine. Either tomorrow or Sunday my cousins will be coming over and we'll have our annual Labor Day lobster dinner . I've lost track of how many years we've been doing this. I'm hoping we can do some out let shopping in North Conway one of the days, too.

Sounds like we have a full day of Scouts tomorrow, but other than that it's going to be a lazy weekend...yeah!!!

Have a 1st birthday party and some errands to run tomorrow.. i work 8 to close on sunday and I work all next week including monday lol so no days off for me.

No big plans here. I work tomorrow and Cheyanne is going to the amusement park/water park with her BFF and her family for the day. She will probably be gone for a good 12 hours. Sunday and Monday are open and will depend on the weather and what we feel like doing. I am off both days so I'm thinking some hiking down on the coast or up in the mountains might be in order.

Oh this sounds like a great weekend Mari! Right up our alley - we love doing things like that :) Have a wonderful time!

Nothing big this weekend. My DH is out of town on business. So it's just me and the kiddo. So tomorrow we're going to go do the kids project at Home Depot, check out a small museum, and try to find a park to play in.

We have new furniture being delivered tomorrow, so we will hang around the house until two-ish or so. After that, we are headed to the lake for the weekend.

In a totally genius plan, I booked a teeth cleaning appointment seven months ago for Tuesday. Of course, I completely forgot. When they called to remind me yesterday I was so excited. I'm getting a four day weekend! :)

Hot Air Balloon Glow tomorrow night, State Fair on Sunday, PTO night at the Skating Rink on Sunday night, local town Labor Day Celebration and Parade on Monday. Yikes...we're busy!!

Well I went to a Festival today and am going to a family picnic on Monday. That is a lot of social activity for me. lol I also took Tuesday off for a four day weekend. I plan to get some long ignored chores done. :)

We are visiting my inlaws in Portland and have a little mini vacation while we are here...we went to the park a nd had dinner with my bil's family: today we went to the Oregon zoo &rose garden then stopped to show the kids the church we got married in 20 years ago :) tomorrow we are going to OMNSI and who knows after that :) but has been nice to sort of be unplugged for a few days :)

That sounds like a ton of fun, my son would LOVE to do that. I'm sure yours is super excited. What a special weekend for you! :)

We are pretty much just shopping today at a big mall in Wellington, DH needs some new clothes for his interview Tuesday (and hopefully I can sneak a few purchases for lil' ol' me). We plan to eat lunch out and let the kids play in the giant playground there.

This evening we are having dinner with my family and dropping off the kids since Sunday morning we'll be flying off to Idaho Falls. Monday in Idaho we will be doing something outdoors-y with our friends who live there. I think we're driving out to the tetons or something and cooking out at their house.

I want to see this area so badly... my father in law's band is playing in that area (wisconsin side) in two weekends and I would love to go - but our "extra" money is being put into flooring this weekend... :(

Practice soccer game if it doesn't get rained out today
SIL's Labor Day picnic tomorrow
rest on Monday

Thanks, Marie, Brook & Rebecca! It was amazing. Rebecca, seriously, get there as soon as you can. I am actually so sad that it was the first time we went there. Seems like such a waste that we didn't do it a long time ago.
