What are your goals through December?

I am curious as to what are your goals for the rest of November and December?

I finally posted a layout yesterday ... it is part of a Christmas present I am making for the family that runs our Robotics Team. The team uses my current scrapbook in the display booth ... the lady picked up my scrapbook and told me how much she enjoys looking at my books and that the boys are lucky that they will have these memories. ...so I figured she would definitely treasure a book for her own family. I am not stressing myself out and trying to get THIS year's done...using pics from last season that way I have all the pics together and can get them done. I want to have this done hopefully by the time we go to Ft. Smith as last year the team gave them presents at that time.

I am also working on the current pictures from this season and trying to get them done before we go to Ft. Smith Arkansas the beginning of December.

I am also mentor for Spirit & Sportsmanship for our robotics team...I'm in charge of designing (TODAY!) a banner for our team on my computer to get printed...and I am supposed to come up with a hybrid idea that the kids can make easily for give-a-ways at the competition (200-500 items)...not sure if that is going to become a reality.

Plus...a CD calendar for dh's desk as a present ... plus a wall calendar for our family ...

Plus shopping for Christmas...and getting my house ready for Thanksgiving (remember my upstairs got new carpeting ... it affected the entire house!) ... as I am "back up" for having Thanksgiving dinner at my house.

I have my oldest turning (gasp!) 21 years old in December! No idea what we are going to do...what he would like is a pipe dream...he wants this really expensive laptop but we don't have that kind of money (but he said it's a dream)...

I have been buying Sweet Shoppe kits and they are sitting on my hard drive because they aren't "robotic" related (my current project)...but hopefully I will get to use them soon maybe on dh's CD calendar.

oh yeah...speaking of Christmas...I know dh's family would like to see my "family reunion" scrapbook updated with last year's pictures ... not sure that is going to become a reality...but we'll see...would be nice.

Wow Sharon. Sounds like you've got a plan. I'm not so organized yet. ;)

What kind of "give aways" have the kids done in the past? Since I know nothing about these robotics team -- except from what you share here -- I'm trying to figure out what that entails.

It sounds like the robotics team family would love to have a scrapbook. It's always nice when it is appreciated.

Scrapping-wise, I need to get the 2010 calendars finished and printed before we head for Houston next month. Stay (or get) caught up on CT pages, and if there is anything going on here next month, dive right in! Other than that, I want to get ALOT of layouts printed...it's been about 6 months since I printed anything for myself.

Haven't done any Christmas shopping yet...and want to get the house cleaned before decorations get dragged out next week.

But you knew all of this already, didn't ya? :p

I want to finish my shopping before december. The kids are done, we only have a couple more gifts to buy for the in-laws and my mother.

I would like to have a head start on my big holiday cleaning. In a perfect world, it would be finished around December 5th, because that is the day we put the tree up. Once the tree is up, I start wrapping gifts in the evening while listening to Christmas music with DH. Good times!

I have to bake a little too because we have some family coming over December 24.

I made an Advent Activity calendar for the kids. We will be doing a Christmaselated activity each day.

Ww also go to see Santa Claus December 6.

Wow I’m afraid to even type what I need to do for fear I may overwhelm myself…for Christmas I decided that everyone is going to get a personalized gift with none other than my son’s cute face on it  That being said I still need to finish my calendars…one has pictures of only my son for my parents, a cd calendar for my sister with pictures of her and my son, I need to order my grandmothers (apron), my aunt (mouse pad), and my dad (sweatshirt) gifts. I want to do an advent calendar (which needs to be done soon)…I have to finish shopping (I want to be finished by the 1st of December)…I need to take pictures for our Christmas card and get them printed…Oh and I need to take my son to get his 5 year old pictures taken (I’m late with this)…We have to go visit with Santa…Oh man I need to sign up for breakfast with Santa…I need to get ready for the half marathon that I’ll be doing December 6th (I’m so not ready)...Prepare myself if I plan to do the December Daily…I wanted to do an album for my grandmother for Christmas but I don’t think…no I know that won’t happen so I hope to at least start one and give it to her for her birthday in January (most of the family will be going to my uncles for Thanksgiving so I should get some good pictures)…I’m also considering having kids over for a day of decorating cookies so I need to figure if that will happen or not…

To make it through the month alive.

Me too..

Also, I need to make a calendar for my MIL and my grandma, I've given them one every year so they are kind of expecting it. I'll probably take the easy way out though, and just use LOs I've already made that fit the different months, I did that last year and it worked out great.

I was thinking that this December would be pretty easy as we are going away over christmas, so I don't need to worry about decorations and baking this year, but I've realised there's a lot to do anyway, the kids have about a million activities in December, I'm going away next weekend with SO, I would love to get everything done around the house before we go away for christmas so the house is sparkling and we can just enjoy the few days we have left of our time off when we get home.

Also, there is christmas parties, christmas dinners, work, christmas activities at school. And I would really love to find time for a December daily album:unsure:

And I haven't started christmas shopping or thought about cards yet either...

I decided to simplify my life (well as simple as you can get in a house with 7 people :D) this holiday season and I am forgoing all gift giving for anyone other then my 5 children. And even they are getting a simple Christmas this year (just 4 presents each and a stocking).

Instead I'm going to focus on NON MATERIAL things this season. Family games nights, family movie nights, baking cookies and making homemade dinners from scratch with my kids, Singing Christmas carols as a family and building snowmen as a family (if we ever get any snow ). Thankfully my 3 older kids are at the age where they have "opinions" and I'll be tapping into that and asking them what THEY want to do!!! They my best option for tapping into wonderful creativity!!!

I'm hoping to keep our days as non stressful as possible, since it seems that whenever there is stress (like if I'm trying to cram 100 different projects into only 2 hours a day) we all end up in foul moods and mommy tends to yell way more then necessary!!!

So my plan is to fly by the seat of my pants each and every day and just ENJOY that freedom!!!!

Wow Rachel...I almost went into overwhelmedness just reading that!!

...oh and I forgot to mention...the 2nd weekend in December spending it with my bf baking for the holidays...sometimes it goes into the next weekend too!

Well we make buttons with a button machine...that's already done. We're NOT supposed to give away food...although last year a sponsor gave us water bottles and we made labels for them. We also made a "matchbook" notebook to give away...fun...but a LOT of cutting!

I'd like something similar to the matchbook notepad ... but I just can't think of anything other than purchasing small spirals and putting graphics on the front cover (anyone know of a cheap place to buy mini spirals?)....any ideas on something else we could make?

I need to work on our yearly calendars that we always give as gifts. I need to finish working on a grandparent book for my parents and one for my grandma. =)

I made an 8x8 'brag book' for my MIL. It's in the mail to me right now.

Mailed the first half the gifts to their recipients today.

4 more presents to buy. No ideas for 2 of them, so my sister may get nothing... :p

Biggest task in December...writing the Bible Study that I have to lead in January.

I am finishing up calendars and a couple of bound books this weekend, and then hopefully I am going to use at least once several of the kits in my unused folder this month.

Come December, I am going to turn off my computer. I want to focus on examining my life and the changes I want to make in 2010. I will miss all the fun around here, but hopefully I will be back better than ever come January!
