Same here (Irish). I think two thousand ten/two thousand and ten are the same thing really, but the 'and' is dropped in the US (and maybe Canada?).

ETA: Found an interesting point at Wiki saying that people actually prefer the rhythm and that from 2011 on, twenty-eleven etc. might sound better than two thousand and eleven. I think there's some truth in that. Two thousand and ten has a nice flow, while twenty-ten sounds weird to me. But twenty-eleven, mesa likes.
