what a week....

A friend and I were booked to have a weekend away this weekend - we were going to meet halfway between us, stay in a hotel, eat out all weekend and digi scrap like crazy. DH was to take friday off work and I was to have friday 9am to sunday 5pm sans kids - just the break I've been needing.

Of course, nothing's easy right?

Sam has pneumonia and a new almost-diagnosis of asthma so home I stay. And all my weekend away money goes to buying a nebulizer machine, dr co-pays and prescriptions. I'm trying to be the grown up and just get over it - but I really really was looking forward to some time.

well maybe your dh could watch the kids and you could go to lunch? or starbucks with a good book or something? maybe watch a movie alone in your bedroom or something? I know it's not much, but maybe you could still carve out a litle "mommy sanity" time until your baby is well again!
