You have to understand, good concerts in New Zealand are few and far between, and usually cost an arm and a leg, however...

...Taylor Swift donated over 600 tickets to military families here in Auckland, so my girls and I get to go see her in concert tomorrow night for free! Woohoo! That's an insane amount of money when you add it all up. Over $90,000.00 I think, seeing as the tickets here are about $150 per person.

My girls are stoked, and it coincides perfectly with Elisa's 7th birthday this week. I videoed their response, and it was SO tame. LOL! They are definitely products of their parents. Haha. They're excited though, and so am I. Mainly to see their reactions really - this will be their first concert.

OMG!!!!!!! I'm SO excited for you! It is seriously an AMAZING show! We loved every single minute of it!

Congrats! I want to hear all about it!

I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT! I know that I shouldn't at my age but I can't help it! I have a small warning for you though. My daughters are 9 and my son is 5. We've seen Taylor twice. Each time I was overwhelmed with how much my husband and I loved the concert but underwhelmed about how much fun the kids seemed to have. By the time the openers are done and she takes the stage it's past their bedtime-I think that might have something to do with it? Each time we've carried one of them out sleeping--can you believe that?! How could you sleep in that environment? Anyways, she puts on an AMAZING show that you will love. It's more of a show than a concert! Just don't be surprised if the girls aren't as energetic as you have imagined! Have a GREAT time!

Yeah, the opener (Neon Trees?) starts at 7pm and Taylor's not on till 8pm which is usually the kid's bedtime. I know my 7 yr old is going to be soooo tired, but the 10 yr old should be fine.
