I know this sounds weird and strange but im not sure whether scrapping is for me anymore. Many years ago I was super into it but life got in the way so it never happened. I thought moving and not having my 14 hour days would rekindle my love and interest in scrapping but it hasn't. I haven't even finished downloading products that I bought in May before my laptop went in for repair. I've just become more attached to my ipad instead. I'm not even taking that many photos, my stash is wildly unorganized so im not sure whether to keep trying to scrap or rest it til the new year maybe. Buying new supplies isn't an option due to $$$.

I guess for me its my one hobby so id love to rekindle my love for it plus im paying for PSCC every month too!

I've been at this 10 years and I've always had ebbs and flows in how much enjoy it. My CTs usually keep me going but there's definitely been times that were easier than others.

Have you considered trying something new with your scrapbooking? A new fun project or challenge often gets me out of my funk.
 
Project life was going to be my project but in 3 1/2 years I havent got through a complete year yet. Not sure what other things I could do as right now my life is a tad boring and repetitive.

I think part of my problem is I feel I need to have my supplies organized first and thats a big job so i never go any further.

That isn't at all unusual. I think many of us who've been scrapping a long time have taken breaks. After my 2nd child was born I took 6 months off from scrapping (I sewed instead) then had another 6 months when I was making myself scrap some but was doing it more so that he'd have an album than because I was loving it. I wondered if I was nearing the end of my scrapbooking time. Then somehow I started to get motivated and love it again. That was 9 years ago, and this year I've been in a scrapping funk again. I'm still doing pages and enjoying it, but I'm becoming less willing to spend hours on a creative page when a quick, simple one done on my phone will get the same stories and photos into my album. I'm still doing some of the fancier pages, but a lot fewer. The point is, it's okay if you take a break. Maybe in a few months you'll be back and loving it again. Maybe you'll scrap differently after your break. Or maybe a new hobby will catch your attention and it will be a lot longer until you return. We all have too many things we do out of obligation or necessity; your hobby shouldn't be one of them. (But do download, unzip, and back up those purchases first so you don't lose them!)

I agree with everyone that posted earlier, ebbs and flows are natural ... I think since you posted about this wonderful hobby and it's on your mind and in your heart, your mojo will probably come back!! Give it some time and maybe organize yourself when you have some spare time - perhaps once you are all organized the bug will hit you again!
I tend to stay "fairly" organized throughout the year, but once the new year rolls around, I move everything from the prior year into another folder and start fresh ...

Why not tackle your scrap organization 15 or 20 minutes a day in lieu of actual scrapping? You don't have to be super organized but knowing what's in your stash might inspire you to get scrapping. Just going through and getting rid of anything you don't like anymore or know you will never use will probably help lift the funk.

Organizing and pinning still count as scrapbooking in my book. Sometimes I want to scrap but don't feel like doing an actual page so I organize, match up photos with kits, pin, jot down notes for future pages/journaling, etc.
 
Not strange at all, Jennifer! I went through a wicked scrap funk, like you. I didn't even want to look at scrap kits. I ended up taking a year off from scrapping and came back a few months ago. That year off showed me exactly why I loved scrapping. It gave me the time to miss it and appreciate coming back to it. It may be that you too need a break. Maybe come back after the first of the year and just enjoy whatever has your attention now.
 
I'm with everyone else, if it feels right, take a break! Either the time away will show you how much you miss it, or the time it freed up will give you the opportunity to discover something completely new... One way or another, you win! I took an almost 3 year scrapping hiatus a few years ago, and I'm OK with that. It was right for me to step aside, and it felt right to come back to it,

I also felt like my life was boring and repetitive, so scrapping the humdrum felt tedious.
A few things got me back, and still keep my scrapping fun. If I had nothing (photos, events) new or interesting to scrap, I scrapped about my new favourite books (or old favourites!) Poems or song lyrics that held meaning to me, and made pages with them. I think they'll be interesting to look at one day as part of my ongoing AAM album. Something else I found fun and challenging was to go back and look at my order history. I challenged myself to scrap one layout with every kit I ordered, chronologically. (I'll readily admit to being a kit hoarder, and I had lots of kits I had never used, so it was like going shopping all over again, without spending a penny!)
 
Totally normal! When I did paper scrapping it was such a HUGE part of my life, I was on a paper monthly kit team and spent hours every week on it... then I had my daughter and life just didn't *need* it anymore.

You know what brought me back was working on an album for my grandfather whose health was fading fast. Looking at it as a skill and passion to bless someone else rekindled my excitement for scrapping again. Thankfully I haven't fully lost the desire for it again. There have been times when it has felt like work (oh right, it is work!) but I just stick with it and it comes back to me. Still, if it wasn't my work I'd have no problem stepping away for a little until the need/want strikes again.
 
I don't think it sounds strange at all. Sometimes life takes us in unexpected directions, and our priorities and joys just change. And those changes might be temporary, and they might not. And that's okay. Do what's best for you at this moment. You can always, always, come back to scrapping if and when the time is right, and your SSD peeps will be right here to welcome you with open arms. Hugs, Jennifer! :wub:
