Well it happened...

I finally forgot how old I am. My husbands birthday is tomorrow and the fact that it took us the time it did to figure out how old he is turning was quite sad.

I was always a little confused when people would say they forgot their age or didn't know how old they were turning. How is that possible, I thought?

I was currently thinking I was a year older than I am (I was born on a year to make it super easy to know my age as well :o)

Ha ha! Is that a sign of old age!? Pretty sure not for you!!

Just wait until you get OLDER yet, you'll wish you could forget all together how old you are!!

I've had to "do the math" for a number of years now. lol
In fact, I just rechecked my math after reading your post.

Okay so Lainey will NOT let me live this down. I don't think it's that funny but to her it's inconceivable that I don't know my own age! Last year I wrote "Cassie's 44th" on the calendar and it was up there for weeks before she noticed and said "Mom! You're turning 43!" Oops, I guess I'd been rounding my age up for so long that I actually forgot how old I really was!

I forget how old I am all the time. You aren't alone. I also forget how long I've been married....

I often have to stop and think about it, although, I'd rather not think about it at all. :D

I always have to figure out how long we've been married, too. :crying: That makes me feel kind of bad that I don't automatically KNOW. :o

I always forget, and am constantly surprised when I DO count, to find out I'm older than I thought. Hahaha!

I think we're the same age- but at least my excuse is that I'm a december baby- so usually you can't just do the easy math- well, then you have to minus 1 for the majority of the year! ;) My hubby assumed incorrectly he was my age all last year (he's 1 year & 30 days younger than me!)

Lol I remember thinking it was impossible to forget! But I'm almost to 29 and I have been unsure when asked since probably 25 years old.

I have to do the math for birthdays and our anniversary! I keep having to figure out how old my kids are because time goes by so quickly!

LOL yes that happens all the time unless you get to a round number. Like I'm 40 right now and won't forget for a year at least haha

I really don't remember how old I am anymore. To be fair, time has become meaningless in our household since we don't really engage with the outside world too much. I'm in my 30s and know when I'll be 40 but have to count how much longer that is.

My husband has to make me do the math for my age and then subtract one so he knows how old he is. Pretty much only the small child knows and cares his age ;)

I had a year in my 40s where I was telling everyone my age and then was surprised when my bday came around and realized I was actually about to turn that number haha I think it is super common. Now that I'm in my 50s, I think my actual age is starting to be less relevant. Just glad I got another year around the sun =)

You are not alone! I forget how old everyone in the family is! I am always having to do math. I also forget how long I have been married (my husband is good about remembering this one, so that's good!)

I figure, you get to an age where "age" just doesn't matter anymore! My best friends are all older than me (all have married children, with the 1st grandbaby to arrive between them all any day now). But even though there is an age difference, we just don't care! We all get along really well. My husband is younger than me, making him the youngest of the whole group, but age is just a number and doesn't keep us from all being good friends.

I don't think I've ever forgotten my age, as I keep being reminded every time I go to the doctor and do the online check-in. LOL I do have to do the math at times for our anniversary. LOL

My boyfriend won't let me forget :crying: :D He is 1 year younger then I am so he keeps telling my age and how close I am to my 50s
I will be turning 47 this may...uhmm shoot NO I will be 28...

all of these stories are so funny hahaha..

Natasha years ago my husband was at a store and tried on a shirt and i was like "darcy no! you look like a 40 year old man" he looked at me and said kristin... i am almost 40. OH. right. haha. Now he's almost 50 ;) LOL !

the year before last I thought I was a year older than I was and by the time I found out it was almost a new year lol I want that year back

My husband constantly forgets how old he is and makes himself older all the time. He also always thinks we've been together for much longer than me have. lol I usually remember my age, the only time I have to count is when I am getting close to a birthday and start rounding up and then forget if that's the new or old age.

lol, I’m “as old as the Super Bowl” as my kids love to remind me, so mine is easy. My husband on the other hand, I always have to stop and think about that one.

You're not the only one, Kristin!
I somewhat stop counting how old I am since a few years ago and keep saying in my head that I am forever 25 :p

Well, last year I told everyone I was a certain age, until my birthday came and I saw on the cake that I had one less number, hahaha, so soon I'll be the same age I said back then :D and the funniest thing is that every time I heard my husband say his age, I thought he was just pretending to be younger, lol

I have never forgotten how old I was but my husband never knows how old he is and has to figure out how old I am and then add 2. :D
