Well I'm moving again

not exactly what you'd expect to hear so soon but things haven't gone that great here between me and the home owner and I wasn't totally happy either so became a bit of a recluse around her so I was asked to find a new place yesterday. Luckily a friend of mine from uni a few years ago has space in her flat a bit further from uni but still totally doable so I'm moving next Tuesday...eek. It came down to differing expectations in the end and too big of a generation gap (20 odd years as an estimate).

I'm sorry to hear the first move didn't work out, but it sounds like the new plan will work out a lot better. Good luck with move #2!

Well that kinda sucks! Maybe this new place will be so much better that you'll be glad the first one didn't work out. (((hugs)))
 
Glad you were able to find a new place so quickly. Sending positive thoughts that this new move will be an even better fit for you. :)
 
That sucks about moving again but hopefully this new place will be a better fit for you and even though it's a bit further away, hopefully it will be more enjoyable to be there.
 
Well my move went well yesterday though my room currently looks like a bomb site. Got to head out and buy a few things today that I'll need - bedding, an extension cord, heater

I hope you get settled in and are more comfortable there. I've lived with someone out of necessity not choice and it was a horrible experience I'd never like to repeat, so I understand that feeling! Glad you're all moved though, that's got to be a relief!
 
so far so good! I've been away for the last 6 days so still early days yet but I'm much happier here apart from the fact there is no dryer which I had at the old place (bit of a pain in winter)

I've been wondering how you've been going. Glad to hear it's a positive start. You might have to get a clothes rack and put it in your room or the lounge or somewhere. Is there a laundromat nearby?

I'm going to pop out in the morning and see.. I know there are a couple across the river so if I don't find one close by ill head over there
