Weight watchers weigh in week of 9/2 to 9/8

Okay ladies it's a new weight loss week. Congrats to everyone on their losses last week. I did not weigh in this week for 2 reasons, 1. I was gone for the weekend and 2. I was a bad, bad girl. LOL!! Back on it this week and praying I don't see a gain. Can't wait to see your numbers!!

I lost 2.2 this week and got yelled at by my phone again. :D I was happy with that because I really tried hard to stick to the plan last week. It made me feel good to see it pay off. This week should be good too until the weekend, when my brother is going to be in town. It will be a weekend of sibling parties, so we'll see how it goes.

I know that my thyroid levels are a little high right now, which I'm sure is helping with my weight loss (and the more weight I lose, the higher my levels will be). I'm feeling really good, though, and my endocrinologist seems fine with letting my levels be a bit high as long as I'm feeling good and not having "hyper" symptoms. I won't be surprised if he lowers my synthroid dose when I go back in about four months. But, until then, I'm happy to take the extra help. :)

Can't wait to hear how you all did this last week. I'm sure you'll be fine Melissa - just keep plugging a long!!

Melissa, sounds like it was totally worth a little splurge time!! I don't blame you for not weighing... I get so easily discouraged that I'd probably be best to avoid it in that situation, too.

Lyd! That's awesome! Congrats on your loss! Hope you have fun with your brother!

We went to Orange Leaf frozen yogurt tonight (do you guys have those where you are?) It was sorta an impromptu outing to see a friend, but I was really proud of myself for being good. In the past, I would've loaded my bowl (it's a self-serve place with loads of topping choices) and packed on the toppings. Today, I just had 4oz of vanilla - and you know what? it was delicious! I just realized how often I would eat all those calories when I could be just as satisfied and happy with something smaller.

Anywho, I'll weigh in on Friday. Jeff started dieting with me this week. He's got about 30 he wants to lose. I know he'll reach his goal before I reach mine, and that ticks me off a little. LOL Still, it's nice to have him on the same plan as I am. Makes meal-planning a lot easier!

Barry is doing it with me and needs to lose 30lbs too. He's never had to lose weight before and is finding it hard to keep below his calories because he's hungry all the time. I don't want to nag because I don't want him to stop, but he needs to learn that he just can't eat whatever and whenever he wants anymore! And he also needs to learn that there are better choices for any food he wants to eat. On Saturday we each got an individual serving of ice cream in those little containers...I bought the Skinny Cow one that had 1.5g of fat, and he chose the Oreo one with 9g. Mine was just as good as his and was the same amount of food!

Last Thursday I weighed 212 in the morning and got my FitBit in the mail in the afternoon. Since then, I've fluctuated each day (up to 212.8, then 212.4, then 212.6), and finally got back down to 212 today. I was so used to the number being smaller every time I weighed myself, this little bump in the road threw me for a loop! Hopefully I'll continue to drop from now on!

I hear you there. Kyle started around the same time as me and has lost about the equivalent of me (just a smidge shy of 30), so he's now at his goal weight, but I have such a long way to go. But he's been walking with me every night and gives me lots of encouragement!

hey ladies! i've been slacking off a bit this last month and my WL has stalled (but i AM glad i have't gained anything back) - but now that the kids are starting school again (thursday!) i'm going to be back on plan. i've also signed up for a masters swim team that meets 4 times/week so i'm excited about that b/c i get bored w/ walking/jogging ...

congrats lydia on your loss and good luck this week everyone :)

Lydia congrats on your loss!! I would gladly let my phone yell at me. LOL!! I wish my hubby would join me in the weight loss, he makes it harder on me with his food choices.

Hey girls! With the kiddo back in school and all, I'm wanting to refocus on losing this weight. Are there any apps or stuff you use to keep you on track? I'm hopefully getting an iPhone this month and it would be awesome to have it help me. I'm a member of Weight Watchers but I haven't been in months.

I made it through the first week! It went better than I thought it might and it was easier to stay within my points than I thought it might be, so that was a definite plus! I still haven't managed to convince myself to exercise but that's coming . . . LOL

I was hoping for a big week since I was kicking things back off, but I came in with a loss of 2 lbs. Not amazing but a great start! I probably hurt my weigh in a little because I didn't use any of my extra points until the weekend so I had just come off of two bigger eating days when I weighed in on Monday. Bring on this week! :)

Okay, so I have totally fallen off the wagon. I hadn't stepped on the scale in a few weeks until this morning and I was dreading it. I gained two pounds. The good news is that it wasn't as bad as I had thought, the bad news it that I have fallen back into my bad habits again. So after getting off the scale, I made a promise to myself to get back on track and that means tracking my points. It's so dang tedious, but it works, so I just gotta do, and I did. Have a few points left over, but as I am full, I am going to let it ride. I did take a walk and do some serious yard work this morning as well, so I feel good about my activity today. It is a new day and I am hoping for some good things. Congratulations on your losses and thank you all for motivating me to get back on the skinny cow. :)

Lorie - I am the same way. Since Friday I have had no exercise and I have been eating just like when I didn't care. It sucks! I'm hoping for not too bad of a gain on Friday, but realistically I know it's not going to be good.

Julie, I use MyFitnessPal, as does Elizabeth, Lydia, Libby, Jenn (Barrette) and more I'm sure!

Lol. Kinda. I do track on My Fitness Pal sometimes, but I mostly do Weight Watchers. I'm thinking of switching over at some point since My Fitness Pal is free, so I dabble in there just to see how my eating equates across the two platforms. If you're looking for free, I think My Fitness Pal is a really nice option.

It can be so frustrating, can't it? I am still trying to figure out why I put things in my mouth when I am not truly hungry. I think weight gain and loss is as much psychological as it is physical. I know I make myself crazy with it. ;)

Ok just a warning, when your tracker looks like this you WILL GAIN WEIGHT.

Seriously though I am surprisingly ok with it. I felt like I was at a halt in my losing and took a week off. Maybe this will help me jumpstart back into the losing process again. I started off this morning right on track with points and ran (45 minutes) for the first time in a week. Here's to a new start!

You have a great attitude, Tracy! I hope you enjoyed your off week! :)

I'm down 1.2 again this week for a total of 9.6 - I'll admit I was hoping for just a smidge more so that I could hit that 10lb mark, but I'm not upset with this.

As I said before, Jeff started dieting with me this week, so it's been kinda interesting helping him stay on track this week, too. It's made me even more careful with portion sizes since I'm measuring for him, too. He won't weigh til Sunday, but he's doing SO well. I know he's gonna lose so fast.

This week, I took a step in the right direction when it comes to exercise. LOL I ordered the Walk Away The Pounds dvd that I used to love (well, same program - updated version). It's the only exercise program I've ever been able to actually do and stick to. I thought maybe it would be a good thing to at least get me off my butt. Then, when I'm back in the groove of exercising, I'll change it up a bit and head back to the gym. For now, this will be better than nothing.

0.8lb loss for me this week! I think I was eating a bit below what I should so I didn't lose as much, but I've upped my intake by a few hundred so I hope to see more next week! 6.8lbs gone so far!

Barry has been away for work since Tuesday but he's been logging his food on MFP so we'll see how he's done this week tomorrow probably. I'm still proud of him for just sticking to it, especially when he was getting frustrated that he wasn't eating much. (he really was, just not as much as he's used to) LOL

Ooooh interesting... I was just sitting here thinking that I'd had the same calorie allotment since I started - nearly 10lbs ago. I remembered when I used to do WW that you lost points as you lost weight because obviously you need fewer calories. So, I just logged into MFP to see if it would change my calorie goal if I clicked on it (I had previously thought it would update automatically for me like WW used to). Well, to my surprise, I'm now getting 60 fewer calories per day than I had been doing.

So, just a reminder for those of you on MFP... check your calorie goals when you log your weight! :)

I haven't been in here in a long time! but ... 'operation fat girl' has begun once again with the incentive of an overseas holiday next summer to keep me on track. I'm quite good at bribing myself so thought a holiday might help me to stick to the diet and perhaps by next summer it might change into 'operation still fat but half the size she was girl'. I'm doing weight watchers because it's worked for me in the past and it isn't their fault that I don't stick to their diet and I put all the weight back on :)

So happy to have you join us Andrea!

Tracy, I am going to take the same approach as you, let the past go and start off all over again. :)

Congratulations Libby and Jennifer. Any loss is great in my book.

I managed to lose 1.4 lbs this week. Very, very happy! :)

So can I join?? I know that is a silly question but I really need a group to help me get back on track. Thanks again.

Congrats ladies on your losses!!! Tracy, at least you are tracking, I haven't even been doing that cause I am afraid of the numbers. LOL!!
