Hey guys,
Our SSL certificate expired earlier this afternoon. Unfortunately, with an 8 hour time difference and it being a Friday night, I'm having difficulty getting ahold of our webhost to get it renewed.
Just so you know, all of the information exchanged with our server is completely encrypted and perfectly safe even tho you get that pop-up. The certificate that tells your browser that we're a trusted site is what is expired and needs to be renewed. So you can feel free to click the "trust this site" or "continue anyway" buttons in your browser without worry about compromising your personal information.
Additionally, if you're paying via paypal, your personal information is sent and stored on their server, so making a purchase on our site via paypal is as safe as it always is.
Since we know people are concerned about their information being safe, we understand that you may not want to enter your credit card information on our site until our SSL certificate is renewed. If you need to pay for your order using a credit card, you can do so on Paypal's site WITHOUT creating an account.
At checkout, click paypal as your payment method. You'll be directed to the paypal log-in screen. On the left side of the screen, you'll see the credit card logos with a link that says something along the lines of "Need to Use Your Credit Card?". Click that link and you'll be taken to a screen where you can enter your personal information and credit card account info to pay for your purchases without opening or logging into a Paypal account.
Either payment option is completely safe and we want you to be confident making your purchases with us at SSD!
Let me know if you have any questions and as soon as our SSL certificate is renewed, I'll be sure to let you chicklets know!
Thanks!
Robin
