So now we have McDreamy, McSteamy, and now McGyver???!! :thumbup: Love him! And love that he and Christina are starting a little something! :wub: So, for Meredith and Derek, do you all think they will live together? I have to say that I'm glad that Rose is moving to peds because as much as I love drama on Gray's, I don't want a romantic triangle with her and Derek. Meredith is messed up enough! LOL So, what did you all like about this season opener?
 
I thought it was good! Too funny about dropping to 12th....I can't believe Christina got impaled but that Army Doc was *swoon!*
 
Really good.... The friend with the memory thing, really made me sad... :( I am over emotional lately though.. LOL!
Not in love with the army guy, but SUPER in love with the idea of him and Christina...
Also, dont love, but have never loved the Cali and Erica Hahn couple idea...
Umm... I think thats it for now......

Great premiere--when I heard about the new doc, wasn't sure he'd be a good fit with Christina, but that kissing scene was pretty darn good and I really liked the actor on his other show, so I think he might be a good fit for the show to stir up a little trouble! and I'm ready for the MerDer drama to be over already!!!
 
I thought it was good!! But I have to say that Meredith drives me nuts the way she analysis every stupid little thing!! She needs to stop and just live!!

The new doc is great and I love that he isn't afraid to stand up to any of them. They all need someone like that around to put them in prospective!!!

All around though :thumbup:

That army doc is Kevin McKidd and I had NO idea he was joining the cast and I"m SOOOOOO excited about it....If you've never watched ROME on HBO you should cuz he's in it and he is SOO HOT! And now he's on Grey's being all hot army doctor with his ACU's and staple gunning himself...I was thinking about giving up on Grey's after last season's ridiculous story lines but now that he's on there....I can't let it go.

Honestly I'm so tired of Meredith and her whines that I really don't care if she and Dereck stay together or not. They've taken it about as far as it can go.

And what was with that scene with Izzy and Denny? They barely mentioned him all last season during that dumb story line with her and George and NOW she's going to get all sentimental about him? But we did get to see Denny so that was a plus :)
 
I loved it! I am ready for Meredith to just give in, but we just have to expect it from her, lol. That new doc is HAWT but I'd really like for McSteamy to get a good storyline too :) :)
 
::Sigh:: I'm so content in life now that Grey's is back. Does that make me sad? LOL!

Ok let's see. That opening scene? NOT COOL. I was almost in tears!! And I HATE the way they twist things in the commercial to make it seem 10 times more dramatic than it is.

LOVE the new Army Dr! Like Paula said, I love that he doesn't give a crap who you are in that hospital, he's gonna lay it out there like it should be and give you a piece of his mind. I love that he took charge and just went ahead and steamed up the room with Christina. I think she's feeling jealous that Mer might actually get her happy ending, so maybe this will swing her attitude around. He's HAWT!

Definitely glad Rose is moving on. I could NOT believe she sliced open Der's hand like that!

I was curious to see what would develop between Lexie and George. But now I'm thinking they're gonna stick her with Sloan. Just something about the way he was looking at her when she was talking to the cheating husband.

Totally didn't get the Izzie-Denny thing at the end. I was looking forward to more Izzie and Alex, I liked them together that one season.

I love Mer and Der. I like that he's willing to move slow, but he said that before and then the wedding didn't happen and she disappearred and the whole thing fell apart. I think it's great that she's still seeing the therapist (at least that was the vibe I got) and is really wanting to be extraordinary and find her happy ending. I really think Der can give it to her, she's just got to keep on working on it and growing. He's McDreamy, he has to!
 
Pretty good, although I watched it with my hubby. He thinks the story line is so ridiculous and when I watch it with him, so do I. lol! I mean, someone always codes at the perfect time, army guy just happens to be there and be a hero and be a hunk and be totally into Christine, and come on - Christine gets impaled by an icicle! I have always loved the show, but I do think it's all a little ridiculous! :)

I don't at all like the Cali and Erica story line - ugh! I am not a bigot and know there are different lifestyles everywhere, and know there are many people who are gay. However, I feel like this is being shoved down our throats - like it's just the token "gay" story line because they need to have at least one in each show. I hope I don't sound hateful toward gay people - I'm not AT ALL and would hate for this to sound that way. I just think it as a story line is dumb.
 
I am so glad I'm not the only one that didn't get the scene at the end with Izzie and Denny LOL

I was shocked when Christina got impaled with the icicle. I hope to see more of the army doc though.
 
I was laughing hysterically at Christina's "karmically impaled" comment. :) I mean, come on, wouldn't the icicle melt!?! Jay was going nuts when that happened 'cuz apparently they did something on Myth Busters that disproved the possibility of something like that happening. I'm so happy they're giving her a love interest, though...last season was too "dark" for her.

I was a little frustrated by the previews all ending up as "ha ha, just kidding" moments in the show, did any of the hype actually work out as a truth? :)

I still LOVE the show and will definitely be watching all season because I'm addicted to the characters, hopefully the plot lines will be HOT this season!
 
Alex has the best one liner of the night....love that guy!

"you're on a spaceship"

Ok I had to rewatch just now to hear what was going on when they showed the izzy denny thing...It was her fairytale..her dream at that moment she was living a fairytale with Denny..then all of a sudden the thing with Alex was reality. All the narration in the back was about dreams and fairytales...

The lesbian love story just seems forced to me. It seems too awkward and unlikely. It doesn't bother me, it's just not believable.
 
Yeah, that opening scene? I was like bawling and I couldn't figure out WHY they'd kill of McDreamy first thing. And then it was a joke. A very cruel joke.

And that new doctor...he's WAY freaking hot, lol. Totally think he and Christina should hook up.
 
I'm just wondering why it was cold and snowing there....isn't it set the same time as real life so their holiday shows will be played when our real holidays are happening? They'll have a 6 month winter!
 
Remember it was a joke...it went something like

Mer's Sister: "the snow is snow pretty"

George: "it's snowing in september..it's not pretty, it's global warming, it's the apocalypse!"
 
they said something early on about snow in the fall and being a bad omen or something...they are way up in the northwest...could happen.
 
I watched right up to when the limo driver died and have to watch the rest later, but yah.. opening scene? NOT FUNNY.
 
The opening scene just about had me bawling!! not funny at all!

i love the army doc! but then, my DH is an ex soldier so i natually fall for anyone in uniform, lol. I love that he and Christine are possibly hooking up. they're so cute and i think he's what she needs!

Meredith does indeed need to stop analyzing everything. Just live for the moment. she has a sexy man who seems to adore her as well so just go with the flow!! I'd move in with him, lol.

i wish Izzy and Alex would hook up. Alex can be such an ass. i got all teared up when i saw Denny again at the end. i bawled on that episode where he died. poor Izzy.

the Calli and Erica story is a bit odd. i'm not a bigot either by any means. i'm probably the most open minded person ever, lol. but it just seems sort of out of place i guess?

and whats her face, Meridith's half sister needs to let George know how she feels. I think they'd be a cute couple!
 
Ok..all I have to say is YIPEE for everyone...except Cali..not too happy about that whole thing but whatever!!!! Love the new doc...glad Christine got rid of some of that tension ;) I think she really needed that!!!
 
I like the Callie/Erica stuff...I think Erica is not an attractive woman but at least it's not yet another girl moping over another dumb boy...they'll probably have the healthiest relationship of them all..haha

I was so stunned watching it and kept thinking - wow, if he dies, then I'm done.....I thought it was a stupid ruse that allowed them some dramatic clips...I didn't care for it.

Grey's isn't in real time. The first 3 seasons combined got us through 1 calendar year. (Crazy, given how much happened!) Interns start sometime around August, IIRC, so if it's fall the show has gone through a year and a few months.

I loved the premiere! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the new doc, but I think he and Christina are good together. I understand where Mer is coming from and why she gets such cold feet about Derek, so I can deal with her overanalyzing and freak outs as long as they STAY TOGETHER this time. I'm also rooting for Alex and Izzie to finally get together.

I've been reading some speculation that the storyline about SGH slipping in the rankings was a nod from the writers about what's gone wrong on Grey's and a promise to fix it. Whether that's true or not, I think the premiere was a good start to the season. A good mix of hospital drama and relationships, and they seem to be setting up the season to focus more on characters building positive relationships with each other.
 
k............hmmmmmmmmmm...grey's.....i kinda thought it stunk..i was waiting for the OH MY GOSSSSSSSSSSSSSH of the show...

meredith..WHINE WHINE WHINE...poor poor you...you have this adorable HOTTIE that makes bank and wants to marry you and is apparently a firecracker in the sack....i feel terrible for you.........she drives me NUTS!

christina....seriously....it would melt.....ugh....

uncle sam....hot...but probably going to wear me out if he is hookin' up with debbie downer..christina...

alex.............HOT! spaceship comment..HILARIOUS.....

yep...little grey is TOTALLY going to hook up with mcsteamy..which makes me sad..b/c i LOVE her with georgieboy!

the girlies....come on writers...can't you do better than that?! It reminds me when Samantha went that way on S*x in the City....akward....it just doesn't seem to fit...Callie is GORGEOUS....hook her up with the army guy! That would be a HOT MESS between she, christina and gi joe!

best part of the show...izzy and denny..........it took me back to that night...ahh..memories...i LOVED that season....sadness........but yet...it was amazing...

so all in all...i have to sadly give it an enthusiastic double thumbs down...but YES i will watch it again in two weeks...when it is new...and there is a flood..apparently...those icicles are going to all melt...let's hope no one gets impaled....i personally think that we ALL did last night..in the heart by the writers...way to go...drag that out for the past month....and then shoot it all down as a JUST KIDDING.........ugh......... :cursing:
 
I must admit I am becoming more and more disappointed with the show.

I thought the Christina story line was totally stupid....the ice would melt and it is so not probable. I'm glad she stopped feeling sorry for herself for a second, though. And I loved it when all of her interns were taking pictures of her with their cell phones! :)

The interjection of Denny did not fit. It felt forced to me - as if they had a better spot for it before editing but in the end had to throw it in there. I also think it's crazy for Izzie to be so connected to Denny when he was hardly mentioned last season. (LOVE Denny and wish he was still on the show.)

I wish the writers could capture the spirit the show had when it began....There was drama but it wasn't so totally unrealistic. A drama doesn't have to be melodramatic every week.

Yes, I'll keep watching but I don't know how much longer.
 
It wasn't the best episode for sure, but I was glad to get to watch again. The summer is always such a long wait for me. But, after seeing the commercial SO many times, I'm still thinking that Rose is pregnant in the back of my head. I was totally just expecting it. I need to stop watching the previews, because they always make me expect things that never happen. It's like they're trying to fool you. But, I'm glad that she isn't! What a relief! I don't know how many more things can disrupt their relationship. Blah!

And I think the icicle would totally melt!

I love Lexie Grey! She adds so much to the show! The new doc was good too!
 
oh yeah..i totally agree that the izzy and denny DID NOT FIT..but that brought back a rush of emotions and feelings that i had that night...which was at least SOMETHING b/c this show only gave the emotion of wanting to throw my remote control through the SCREEN..ugh...........

brothers and sisters...................AWESOME thouGH! bout to watch desperate housewives..although..i am WELL on my way of giving up on that one too..............rats!
