with me? And maybe what you do for random elements? Say like an owl, LOL! that's what I was just working with. ;)

I'm trying to do better shadows and I followed Sheri's tutorial last month when I was doing some of the challenges. I need a new button setting. :)

Hmmm......I don't have any standard settings - I tweak them depending on the size and colour of the button. I use a brown outer glow to define the opposing edge, and a brownish drop shadow on linear burn (or tinged a slightly similar colour to whatever is beneath it).

OK, just had a play around. My settings for a brown button on a blue paper would be something like:

Outer Glow:
Colour #c2aa88
Linear burn
Opacity 28%
Spread 0
Size 16

Drop Shadow:
Colour #344949
Linear Burn
Opacity 28%
Distance 17
Spread 0
Size 16

The end result:

I don't have PS in front of me at the moment, but if I have a button directly on the paper I will use 15 distance / 15 size (0 spread) with a dark brown color on multiply.

what do you know..a diff setting

I use
color#202020 (i use a dark dark grey/black for mine)
linear burn
opacity around 40% depending on the bg paer
45 degrees
size 18
spread 0
distance 20

I am totally saving this and have no idea what kind of setting I use, but I have a "button" shadow action from somebody LOL!
