Want to know about glue?

Yesterdays blog post was all about glue, adhesive, sticky stuff - whatever you call it. It's here if you're interested in checking it out :)

It would be interesting to find out what other people use too ;)

1 - I use my Tombow tape runner SO MUCH! I really want to get a tape gun like your ATG one though, I just haven't bitten the bullet yet. Maybe soon :)
2 - I use glossy accents for a lot of things too
3 - I heart glue dots.

I think that's it. I have more adhesives, but those are the 3 I use the most.

I do a little hybrid and I use the following:

Glue Stick just a 3M for attaching most things. I *heart* my glue stick. I use Zot Dots glue dots or foam dots for things like buttons and fabric flowers that the glue stick won't work on. And for my big projects like my mailboxes I did, I used spray adhesive. I love that for when I glue paper to like a metal box or something else. I used to use a tape runner but it was so frustrating! I am a glue stick girl!

I use pretty much the same - though I've never tried Mod Podge, and I'm a bit nervous of it as everyone says to be quick with it, and I just don't confidently do 'quick' anything :p

I most often use my generic glue stick, Quicky Glue pen (which I love for detail), double sided tape and sticky foam pads. I also use Diamond Glaze which I think is very simlar to the Ranger glues, and use it to add dimension or to stick something I never want to be able to move again.

But now I think I NEED (want!) an ATG gun now... ;)

Sara I love mine and couldn't go back to use double sided tape again and having clogged up scissors and have to pick off the backing

Thanks for this ... I am getting ready to start a new project. I want to do the lunch box challenge in the July Portfolio ... and was wondering what to use to stick the paper to the lunch box. Thinking doublestick tape ... because I don't want to mess with adhesive spray.

LOVE my ATG gun. NEver parting with it! I also use 3 in 1 glue from Beacons. It works for everything bulky and doesn't wrinkle the paper! My choice for liquid glue! And my glue gun is always plugged in ready to go since I use a TON of buttons on my paper layouts! LOL!!

Fun blog post!

ATG all the way for me. I also use Beacon 3 in 1 for my atlered projects and flowers and fabric stuffs. Glossy accents to seal, ZOTS and Tombo Mono Multi (green cap) is bomb glue too.

glue glider is nice if you have smaller hands, but to refil is more expensive than an ATG. You can also score refil tape on Overstock.com for cheap. I got a case for an insane price. Needless to say I won't run out in the next few YEARS lol.

I don't use the tape on Metal. I use Beacon or Tombow Metal glue.

Sharon I used a Tombow glue stick when I made my tin, I was very generous with the amount of glue I spread on the paper and I put my paper pieces on scrap so that I could glue right to the very edge. Using the gluestick as opposed to double sided tape meant I had a bit of manouvering time too instead of it being stuck solid as soon as it touched the tin - I need manouvering time :)

Hi Andrea *waves* :) I just re-discovered glue dots myself, using them for flowers and holding ribbon bows in place. Glossy Accents is a must (goes without saying really). Have to admit to stocking up with the Poundland dst but never using it now I figured that everything I have used it on has come unstuck :( Back to fingerlift tape (given that I got so fed up of the tape runners gumming up on themselves).
