I came across this photo in my paper album supplies and had to share! This is my very first experience with digital scrapbooking!

So this was back in 2013 and I didn't even know what digi-scrapping was! I was learning about Project Life thanks this brand new amazing crafty website we all know now as Pinterest! I had bought some Project Mouse supplies from Krista Sahlin and Brittish Designs that I found on Pinterest (linked back to Krista's shop of course) and was printing the PDF's to cut out as pocket cards. So I guess you could say I was hybrid scrapping but also didn't know what that was!

Anyway, I had this photo (don't mind the terrible quality... pre-smart phone, sunny day with a bad camera) and I also had PSE10 because I thought I needed it for a photography course I was taking. I wondered if I could open some of the files that came with the Project Mouse kit. I did and drug it onto that photo. I sent that photo to Walgreens and I kid you not, I gasped. Literally gasped that it ACTUALLY SHOWED UP THAT WAY ON THE PHOTO TOO! Hahahaha. Mind blown.

Notice there's no shadows at all on the elements so clearly I had a lot to learn but there it is folks, the beginning of my digi-obsession! I think I'm going to frame that thing and hang it on the wall like businesses do for their very first dollar. :D

You should definitely frame it!
And, I say no shadows is better than the default PSE shadows you probably would have used. Haha!

It's super cute!

I've looked back at a couple of my first digi pages and I too didn't have shadows yet LOL. I had PSE 7 I think. It was pretty basic and I wasn't very happy with digi at that point. I stepped away from it for a few yrs and then came back with more knowledge, newer software and that changed everything for me.

Aaaw, I think it looks great for a first layout. My firsts were just photos with Paint Shop Pro frames around them.
