Wacky Cake

Today Avery asked me to make him a cake. I didn't have any eggs but I remembered pinning a recipe for Wacky Cake that requires no eggs or milk. And y'all it is SO good. So moist and perfectly sweet and chocolately. I can remember my grandmother talking about making cakes without eggs and milk during the depression and turns out..it works!

It seriously may turn into my go-to choc. cake recipe.

I have that recipe in my Betty Crocker Cookbook and have been making it for years...we love it!!! I don't ice mine since we usually use it as a snack cake (mine makes an 8x8 size) so sometimes I add milk chocolate chips too it or sprinkle some powdered sugar over it!!!

lol. we call that "depression day cake" in my house. it's what my dad's mother always called it. it's his favorite kind of cake.
