Viovio - Has anyone

Printed photo books with them? If so, do I need to worry about the edges of my layouts being cut off?

I've always printed at Persnickety but I have an album that I need a few copies of and frankly having them all done at Persnickety is more than I'm willing to pay. I known with Persnickety I don't have to worry about the edges but I've heard with other companies it can be an issue.

Thanks in advance!

I had my 2011 Daily December album printed with them (a softcover) and LOVED it. I don't remember any of my edges being cut off.

I've printed about 15 books with them, and have never noticed, but I always resize my pages to the size they recommend.

Thanks Vanessa - when "build" your book do they give you recommendations for actual measurements? Or just the size of the album, 10x10, 8x8, etc.

They have guides you can download, and i think they tell you the sizes somewhere too. Look around at the site a little.

That's the only thing I don't love about them, their site is kind of hard to navigate.

I totally agree!

I use Persnickety for all my albums but this is for about 4 or 5 copies for family members (the number keeps growing) and I really don't want to spend the $$ on them at Persnickety. It is a recipe album of my grandmother and great-grandmother's ethnic recipes for various members of the family. I'm not willing to pay the higher prices and neither are the family members ordering them.

I used Viovio this year to print my 2011 album and they did cut off some of my journaling. I didn't resize at all though. Honestly, I think my Viovio and Shutterfly album are about the same quality and I hated Viovio's website. It took me forever to get my album all uploaded and laid out.

I think I'm going to get our vacation album printed at Persnickety with layflat pages because it's smaller and I want to see if it's really worth the added cost.

Good luck. Once you get it all uploaded somewhere, you should post the link. I'd love to see an entire album like that. It sounds awesome.

I've printed about 6 books through them, while I hate their program to get the books made, the quality is good.
I haven't ever had an issue, but I'm programed to keep fonts/text away from the immediate edge, just because you never know for sure. Just had better luck that way
