Vampire Diaries?

I have this on the DVR from last night. How was it without giving any spoilers?

I am going to watch it tonight...maybe...I have a Project Runway to watch. :)
 
It was better than I expected...kinda like One Tree Hill with Vampires :) LOL At least that's what hubby said.
 
I watched it with my girls - it wasn't bad but again I haven't read the books to know much about it. Maybe that is good though huh - no expectations lol!
 
I'll be watching it tonight ... was trying to get the kids to go to bed last night when it was on ... tonight I only have the little guy with me, so I'll be able to enjoy it properly. hehehe
 
it was pretty good. I kept thinking it was oddly similar to Twilight though. Maybe if I read the books there wouldnt be so many similarities?
 
It was okay! We dvr'd and I'd like to watch it again soon! I read the books AGES ago when they first came out. I think I was like 14 or something. I loved the books then. The only real criticisms I had were that they changed the name of the town from Fells Church to lame-o "mystic falls" and that it was a bit ummm...overdone at times. But I look forward to reading it and seeing how it follows the books.
 
yeah what tab said. I also read them back in...ummm 1991 or 92 LOL ...I loved them so much I bought them and have read them over and over (I know, I'm a dork). Last year we noted that they were rereleasing the books, riding the Twilight coattails...I didn't love the pilot last night though I liked it. It actually followed the first book quite well though I also am REALLY disapointed at the crap name, Mystic Falls. Also, thought the fog was a bit much. Am pretty excited at how hot Stefan is though, so will watch even if they have a two hour paint drying special.
 
I have it on the DVR and plan on watching it tonight, I've read the first two books so far. I thought it was kind of dumb that they changed the name of the town too!
 
I just got done watching in on DVR and I liked it. I also thought the main vampire was very "Edwardish". I haven't read the books though, so maybe his character was originally written that way. I'll be watching again.
