Uploading Pics HELP!!!!

I am trying to upload pics from my camera {last time I uploaded was about a week ago}....and now it says "the file or directory is corrupted and inreadable"...but I can still see the pics on my camera so I don't think my card is orrupt...somebody HELP ME!!!!! I don't want to loose my pics!@
 
did you do anything before trying to upload the photos? Mine happened because I removed the card while the camera was on.

Does your camera have in-camera memory? Maybe if it does and you have another card you could switch the photos to the camera a few at a time and then transfer them to another card

Or try putting them onto another computer?
 
if none of those are options or they do not work I am out of ideas. Mine worked when I used a card reader but it wouldnt read them while it was in the camera.
 
yea I was gonna suggest one of those programs but I wasnt sure if it would work with it being corrupted. I read somewhere that you should format your card every few times you use your camera. I do not do that but I probably do it about once every month or two and Ive had my card for about 3 years now and it is still working well. I only had the problem the one time where I forgot to turn the camera off before removing the card.
