maddies little eyes are almost back to normal now, yay! i'd say she's at 85%.

however, last night at 11 she came to our room again and said that her neck was REALLY itchy. had no clue, went to rub on some hydrocortisone and OMGOSH!!! she had hives something fierce on her neck into her hairline. we're talking horror movie disgusting. gave her benadryl, changed her clothes to something that hadn't been washed in our newish detergent (switched to wisk from tide 2 weeks ago). this morning her neck was perfect.

so, i guess the detergent was the culprit. good old fashioned allergic reaction. i really think this is our problem.

anywho, she went to school today but came home with a belly ache and feeling woozy (prob from the anti-biotic).
oh and she has a fever. weird.

now i'm off to re-wash everything TWICE in free and clear detergent. oye! 15 loads at least!!

p.s. don't ever ever ever use wisk.

Forgive me for not knowing, but what was wrong with her eyes? I'm sorry she's been through so much, but lukily you figured it out.

Hives would totally freak me out! I'm glad she wasn't allergic to the antibiotics which would've been something you'd want to rush her to the hospital for. Poor thing, I hope she recovers 100% really soon :)

AWWW! Poor thing! I am glad her eyes are better, but I feel bad about the hives! :( So glad you think you figured out was was causing it though! {{big hugs}} to her!

see for me its the opposite. I love the way tide smells but I break out sooo bad!! Mine dont go away for up to a week sometimes though.

Glad she is doing better

Awww, my poor Maddie-cakes!! Little sugar has had one heck of a few days, hasn't she? I think you're right about the detergent. We use the Free and Clear liquid and it works well. It doesn't smell as nice as the other stuff, but that "other stuff" (ie fragranced detergents) is what Cam is allergic to.

Have fun doing tons of laundry!! Wish I could help! Ok, just kidding. That was a lie. :D

Give maddie some hugs for me!!

Poor Maddie just can't win! Glad she's on the mend and it looks like you found the culprit!

I'm not surprised. When I was at college, I bought a bottle of Wisk for the first time and broke out in hives right away. That stuff is evil!

Holy goodness, girl. I don't know how I missed your post yesterday..poor Maddie! She's just having a rough few days!! I'm happy to hear her eyes are looking better and I hope the switch back to free and clear detergent helps with the other ickies! ((hugs)) for you both and lots of *laundry vibes*

Goodness she has had a rough couple days. I am glad her eyes are better and hope her tummy feels better now too.

I'm glad her eyes are better. Sorry about the hives though. :( I hope switching the detergent does the trick.

Glad to hear her eyes are better today, but that's just awful when it goes from one thing to the next! Glad her hives are clearing up, but I wouldn't wish re-washing all that laundry on anyone! Good luck!

"devil detergent" ***giggle*** :)

Uh, poor Maddie!! I hope the detergent fix solves that problem and her eyes clear up soon. Poor girl needs a break!

hopefully this is over for that poor thing! but just be on the lookout for a few more possible reactions even though you've figured out the laundry soap is the culprit. reactions are strange like that

Boy, she is having a rough couple of days...poor thing!
I really swear that is the worst thing, the unknown with kids......fine if something is bothering them or they are sick and you know what the problem is, but I would have freaked if my dd's eyes swelled up like that....that is so scary!
Glad she is starting to get back to normal!
Good luck with all that laundry.....yuck!!

Awww, that poor sweet girl! I'm sorry about the hives but I'm so glad to hear you have found the culprit and can fix it semi-easily(I hate laundry!).
