Hey girls!! Just thought I'd update you on the status of things here.

My grandma has been diagnosed with COPD. She has been put on hospice care and can't be left alone. My mentally challenge uncle isn't capable of calling 911 if something were to happen, so I'm going to be here until my brother can come relieve me on May 2, then my mom will be here on the 12th. That means that I will be missing another child's birthday. My son turned 15 the day I got here and my middle child will turn 14 on May 4.

There is a nurse that comes in three times a week and the doctor comes in every other week so that's a relief, but she can't be left alone.

I've been able to scrap - I can't nor want to get fired from my awesome CTs. I am also four points away from my 25 sweet rewards points!! Woo hoo. LOL

I want to thank you all so much for the PMs, posts and emails of concern and condolences. I really love you all and can't wait to get back to my normal routine of scrapping and checking in here my normal 100 times a day!! LOL
 
Awww Paula ((hugs)). It must be so tough to be away from your family, especially during those birthdays. I hope your grandma feels better soon. You're in my thoughts!
 
good to hear from you, Paula! Sorry you've had to miss your kiddos' bdays. I'm sure they must be missing you tons too.

I'm sure no one would fire you from your CTs! But it's good you get to scrap.

{{{HUGS}}} Oh Paula, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Hope you are doing ok...I know that it can be tiring on the caregiver too. Sorry that you missed those birthdays :(

The hospice people were so wonderful in my daddy's last couple of months, they really made a huge difference so I am glad to hear you have their help.
 
we have really missed you. so sorry all that you are going through just take it one moment at a time. we are here if you need a quick laugh or anything for that matter. =)
 
It's good to see you here, Paula. I know you've been going through a lot and I was wondering how you were doing. I'm so sorry you're missing your sons birthdays, but you're an angel for being there for your grandmother. I'm glad you get to scrap at least!
