Ugh... my camera. :(

So.. my Canon Rebel is dead. D.E.A.D. It worked fine all weekend, battery died on Sunday.. I charged it, took my camera today.. it won't turn on at all. I'm not sure whether I should cry or throw up.

So sorry to hear that! I'm sure it is devastating. I hope it is covered under warranty.

If not, you should get whatever camera Valgal's DD took those photos with in a thread from earlier today!

Try getting a new battery before you throw up. My battery totally died and wouldn't recharge so I just got a new one. I hope that's all it is for you.

I'm going to try Laura but when you move the camera, there's something rattling around inside so I think I'm toast.

On the bright side I found a T3 with the body and EF-S 18-55mm lens, EF-75-300mm zoom lens for $649. So.. we'll see LOL

Oh no Sara, I'd be freaking out Definitely try another battery if you can, since I know they can sometimes go bad. Also maybe remove the lens and see if you can see if there is something wrong with the mirror?

Back when I had my Rebel, I had an issue where it wouldn't recognize the battery, until I changed the internal battery as well. (it's like the size of a watch battery & keeps the date/time/settings)
