It's going to be one of those days I can already tell. And now I can't get the new cookie to open in my PS. I keep getting this stupid error that says that the text layer is and invalid layer. I've deleted the file and reloaded it. Closed and reopened the program. Nothing works. I can get other things to open up so it's just that file.

Usually it will ask me if I want to update the text. Whether I say yes or no it still opens, lol. If the file has text in a font that you don't have, then it gives the error I get. Not sure why it won't open for you at ALL.

Yeah, that's weird that it won't open at all.

(This is the reason why I rasterize my title/journaling areas - I get asked ALL the time why it's not editable like it is for other designers, and this is the reason, lol...no error messages!)

If you can't get it to open at all, I'll save it for you with the text layer rasterized and send it to you, then you shouldn't have a problem opening it.

I've had it ask me that question before too and it still opens fine. This isn't even giving me an option. I thought it was odd too.

Oh no, I totally forgot to rasterize the text layer.....sorry about that!
It should still open for you though.....there should be a message to cancel or continue or something like that......if you are still having problems with it....LMK and I will fix it up and relink the file to a new download.
Are you using the TIFF file or the photoshop file?

Here's the link to the photoshop PSD file with the rasterized text layer....hopefully this will work for you.
If you need the TIFF file then it will take a little longer because Aggie converts them for me

thanks for asking this question, I have the same problem sometimes...with templates from some designers, I get the prompt to update the text layers, but from a couple designers (including this cookie of Cindy's) I've not gotten the prompt, I just can't open it. I've done some looking, and it may be a problem between your version of ps and the version she made the cookie in, or something like that, and from what I've been able to find, there's not a fix anywhere online for that problem (boo-hoo). I'm going to download this link Cindy just gave (THANK YOU) and see if that works better for me...fingers crossed!

eta: It opened perfectly for me! Can't wait to do my cookie now! Thanks again Cindy!!!

Oh thanks for the new link. It worked that time. Before I couldn't get either the Tiff or the PSD files to open. I have gotten that window with it asking me about the text before where I have to option to choose and then it opens up for me. But this time I wouldn't open at all and didn't give me any options just the error. Thanks for fixing it.
