Twilighters: An important question *******POSSIBLE SPOILER IN REPLIES***********

Maybe I dreamt it, but I could have sworn that Bella asked Edward about that in a round-about way in one of the earlier books and he gave her an answer but I can't recall exactly what it was. (So maybe I did dream it). Hmmm....now I'm gonna have to go a-huntin'.

That would be a weird conversation to have. "Um, honey - does it bother you when..."

Well, thinking it through now.....obviously in the beginning it would have been an issue. But after New Moon not so much. Remember how he said everything changed when he thought he lost her forever, it didn't bother him the way it used to.

I hope that isn't really a spoiler for anyone.

Stephenie Meyer apparently answered it on a forum somewheres....
Several girls wanted to know if Edward would have a more difficult time being around Bella when she’s having her period. Answer: Yes, a little bit, but he would never say anything about it–much too much of a gentleman. And Bella would be way to embarrassed to ask. (It’s not the same as a cut, though. It’s sort of "dead" blood, if you get my meaning).

*shrug*

ROFL! All I have to say is this is awesome and hilarious! I think when you post this kinda thread on a Digi Scrapbooking blog, it's a good sign that you might be obsessed. LOL I know I am! But regarding the question, hmm I guess it is kinda like not seeing people sneeze or cough in a movies love scene.

By the way Paula I am totally feelin ya on the unspoken thoughts comment.

I actually thought about that too while reading them. I figured she must be on depo or have IUD LMBO

I've got to agree, this has given me a good chuckle and I've read every post  NOW, it probably isn't mentioned because it wouldn't just be Bella that would cause all of them a problem. Lots of other females around.

Okay, I'll admit it, I had the same question when I read the books and I googled it.

Yeah, I know.

Anyway - the author actually addressed it in an interview once - she said it was uncomfortable for Edward, but not unbearable, because the blood was "dead" and didn't contain the same allure as live blood.

She also said Edward was too much of a gentleman to ever bring it up and Bella was too shy to ask him if it bothered him.

So I guess it was a common enough question :P

OME!

I just thought of that today... you completely read my mind. If Jasper freaked out last book ´cause of a tiny blood why edward doesn´t freak about her period times???? That´s a wonder...
