:p I did it....I went and bought book one today because of all you ladies talking about it.

All I need is another addiction....LOL
 
LOL, I am on the edge of buying them myself too. I'm not sure I'm all that interested in them but well, I am a follower. also I didn't think I'd like Harry Potter but I really enjoyed those.
 
At the risk of having people flame me (:D), I wasn't all that enamoured of the books. I read the first one and liked it well enough. But, I couldn't get past the first chapter of the second book. I put it down and had no desire to pick it back up again. I just don't find the story as compelling as all these other ladies do.

Just wanted to give a different point of view.
 
My daughter went to the new book release party last night at midnight. That convinced me to start reading the series. I am almost done with the first book...I started it this morning! I am sitting here doing 3 things at once...reading Twilight, shopping SSD, and watching a lifetime movie :) !
Talk about multi-tasking!
 
Thanks ladies! I am very anxious to see what all the hyp is about. The lady at the bookstore said it's unreal at how many people were in there today to get book 4. She said even grown men come for these books.

I loved the movie "Lost Boys"....don't know if any of you remember that. But when I read brn's brief summary of this series having to do with vampires and romance....I knew I was going to have to give it a try. LOL

I'll let you know when I'm done! LOL
 
I have to admit all the talk is making me curious too ... don't know how long it will take before I give in myself. :)
 
I'm more than halfway through book 1. I read when I go to bed, so I'm savoring the book .And, I hate finishing up a book with nothing to replace it immediately, so i'm waiting so i can get to the store and get the second one,lol.
 
Hope you like it Mel! I have been thinking about starting them but I have SOOO many books I want to read!! Anyway, let me know what you think- if you like it I might have to give in...
 
:thumbup: I gave in today too and bought the first 2 books as a b-day present to myself. I totally love the HP books, so I'm hoping I will love these too!

I absolutely unabashedly loathe the series.

And I can't stop reading it.
Or throwin' up flair.

It's an ugly ugly addiction, I tell you.
 
OMG I am so loving this book so far. I can't put it down. AWWWWWWWW! I am just at the part of Edward and Bella in Biology class.....put the chemistry between the two is already killing me....AWWWWW the suspense!

ETA - The intensity is making my palms sweaty! HA!

I know I want to start these, but I'm torn between ordering from Amazon or holding out and hoping another PX book store will have them. I hate paying shipping when I can get them here for usually less money. UGH!
 
So I finished the book and I'm just captured by Bella and Edward. I can't get enough....the passion, the danger, the irony, all of it has me enamored with the story. It's just intriging on a whole new level.

And Bryn - Your right, it's a sick addiction and I can't wait to read more of the books...LOL

LOL! I do that too! I'm on New Moon, the forums, watching a tivoed big brother, and keeping the kids from fighting...
